Default Cascade told me that I would be receiving a check in 10-14 days.

It was different this time when I called instead of being transferred to Lenny and him telling me that withdraws are not allowed, I was transferred to Richard. I told him that I wanted to withdraw 3K from my balance instead of it all. He asked me why I needed the money. WTF is that????? You need a valid reason to withdraw your money these days. He said that they can only send out checks and to expect a check in 10-14 days. This kind of caught me off guard, I am very skeptical since I have been told next month at least 4 times. I hope its true time will tell.

Dude, you would have a scoop if you got a check (and that check cleared). And bring hope to the masses.

I wasn't even sure Richard still worked there. He used to come in here once in a while and post and try to put things in perspective. Richard???? You still out there working for Cascade? Come in here and give us an update scenario that makes some sense.

Also, I wouldn't be sitting too close to Lenny at any Italian eateries--if you get my drift!

Helmut, of course Lenny wants to know what you are gonna do with your money. He got that idea from Uncle Sam. Another guy who knows better than you how you should spend your money.

Just talked to Richard, also asked for a withdrawal of part of my bankroll.
He said he wanted me to be aware of that they are currently not doing payouts, but will start in two weeks, and that it would take 10-14 days from then.
So it would take about 24-28 days for me to get the check.

He didn't ask me for a reason for withdrawing like he did with Helmut, but said he's pass my request to Monica.

SBR John? Can you verify with Lenny, et al if any of this is close to true? Rather than just leaving it hanging out there?

Thanks for the followup on this issue.

The only thing we can read into this is that they are still there and in their minds think there is a light somewhere at the end of the tunnel. Cascade has told us and players a "couple weeks" many times in the past so unless he is willing to give the details there isn't much point having him repeat the same promises to SBR. I'm trying to touch base with him and will see if he can tell me why he feels good about the potential for 2 weeks.

One theory is that a potential buyer or, more likely, partner wants to see what kind of non-postup business he has left and that can't happen until football starts in about 3 weeks and they see who comes back to bet. If there is a lot of good action as I am hearing from folks in CR, an advance on earnings for Lenny could be part of the deal. Again, speculation...a scenario that could explain how a comeback could happen.

or our theory could be that they are taking money just deposited by people that have their head in the sand who want to bet football and taking that money to payout some of the people owed...the only problem is this is a bit of a ponzi scheme...they have to hope all new gamblers will lose, but some will always win...sorry guys, I'm just not buying that cascade is going to recover...

Sorry, pags, but I'll believe what Bill is saying over what you claim. Remember, you called Neteller a ponzi scheme which was one of the most asinine comments I've ever seen posted here - if you understood their business, it would be pretty obvious that it was not possible.

    tacomax,

what I understand, Mr. I never make insults because I'm so proper but really I'm just a shitty ass poster who talks out of both sides of my mouth...is that Cascade at one time was a terrible book, then they became a pretty good book (that I even once played with)...in my eyes they have once again become a shitty book...I also understand that they have some severe financial issues and unlike neteller, they aren't a publicly traded entity...therefore, there's no one that can regulate them, nor can we look at their financials...that being said, I believe that Lenny wants to pay people, but the fact that they have had so many complaints during baseball season (a time where people don't bet as much-which I know you wouldn't understand because you are too busy playing minesweeper or whatever it is you Brits play on your computer, instead of actually placing wagers) shows me that their cash reserves are very limited or even non-existent...if you really read further into Bill's comments, he's using cautious optimism which he's required to do as a leader here at SBR...I mean if he came in here everyday and said the online industry is in shambles compared to where it was last year, do you think we'd have any traffic at all? (well, we would actually have you posting to yourself, haha)...you get mad because I'm really brutally honest when it comes to my evaluations and prognostications of books and while I'm right MOST of the time, just like with any of your tired ass arguments that you ultimately lose, you then try to pull out something from the past that the individual poster that you are arguing with (which is often times me or imgv) was wrong about...when you debate, you stupid smelly ****, stay on topic!...

It has got nothing to do with being a publicly traded entity. BetOnSports were listed but look what they did. The business of Neteller (if you read about how they operated) meant that they could not be a ponzi scheme. Do you know what a ponzi scheme actually is?

It's hardly a shambles, but I'm sure that he and everyone else at SBR would say that the offshore industry is a lot more risky than it was 2 years ago. SBR aren't here to fleece their customers by spreading false optimism about the state of the industry.

And did you see what I did here (like I do quite often)? I posted a reply to a post without resorting to name calling. Maybe you should try it.

yeah I know what a ponzi scheme is...it's what happens when a girl unbuttons your pants and finds nothing...hahaha...

a ponzi scheme was the very first version of an illegal pyramid scheme, which I heard is how you make your living tacomax, running them...

it is a lot harder to scam people out of their money if you are a private company vs. public company due to people being able to read your financial statements...see when we american's talk we speak in general terms, because when we generalize, generally what we say is true...there you go once again splitting hairs like the Austin Powers wannabee you are and try to find all of the exceptions to the rule...

hardly in shambles?...your head is farther up your ass than I once thought...have you read all over the net how many people are being slowpaid by cascade?...you just may be as dumb as your ****in' picture looks...

I never said Bill or anyone else from SBR was spreading false optimism weiner boy...I believe the term I used was "cautious optimism"...what I said is what kind of traffic would SBR have if Bill came in and was as brutally honest as I am regarding the industry?...my version of the truth is hard for people to handle, but it's a lot more closer to the real truth than most people realize...and you of all people don't have a ****ing clue what it's like to have your money stuck in a scam ass book 'cause you don't wager!...

regarding not calling me a name...do you want a cookie now?...

good, you little prick...take your ball and go home like you always do when you lose an argument...if only you realized there is only a small minority of people that actually like you and an even smaller group that respects you...the forum is so much better off without you anyway, I really hope you figure it out one day and leave...
