Default which teams have legitimate world series shot at this point?

Just wondering who the rest of you guys think will make it to the world series this year.

I think we'll see 1 of these 3 from the AL - Boston, Yanks, or Angels.

It's really hard to get back to the world series 2 years in a row and I don't think the Tigers are as good as last season so I'm ruling them out. Cleveland could make a bid but when it's all said and done they're still Cleveland and I don't think they have the pitching. Minnesota has packed it in. Seattle is a nice team this year but starting pitching seems a bit weak to make it that far.

I think we'll see 1 of these 2 from the NL - Braves or Phillies.

Many will say the Mets but I don't think they're as good as last season. Maybe Pedro will make a difference if he comes back in time. I think they will fade down the stretch.

Brewers won't make it, nice season, but better luck next year. Cubs, well, are the cubs enough said, right? St. Louis, too little too late, not talented enough anyway to get there twice in a row.

The NL West is just a crazy division this season. Based on Arizona & Padres weak offenses, I'd have to say no to both. Dodgers are fading and I don't see a staff including Tomko and Hendrickson making it. Rockies probably have the best all around team in west but won't make it.

    Anyway, looking forward to October.

Not changing my mind at all: Red Sox over Mets

If Gagne straightens himself out, it will be tough for anyone including the Yankees to beat the Sox in a seven-game series.

I agree that the Mets are not nearly as good as last season, but they are still the best team in a weak league.

I'm a Mets fan and I definitely agree that the Mets aren't nearly as good as they were last year. I think the Mets will win the division and what happens in the playoffs is up to Beltran and Delgado getting there bats going.

Mets vs. Braves | Red Sox vs. Yankees
If this happens it would be cool! Will be hell of a fight.

Though I don't see it happening, I would love a Mets vs Red Sox rematch from 86. With a grounder going through Del Gado's legs winning a key game for the sox.
