Default Books not putting up all College Football Totals

I vaguely remember that last year, Pinnacle, Bookmaker (then BetCris), TheGreek, etc, were putting up College Football Totals for every game.

This year, for Week 1, they have not put totals up on games that are over 17 pts on the spread. That's around 20 games missing.

Any ideas on why they are doing this?

Will it be for the whole season or just for Week 1?

    Thx for your answers..

I was going to say the same thing myself John. I mean theres a lot of totals that aren't hung until that monday before the game anyways, so it would make sense to me.

    Gentlemen,
They've got every single Side and about 30 of the 50 Totals up.

Any game with a Side over 17 pts and they have no Total for the game.

I think there's something more to this. I believe the books are concerned about the rules changes going back to 2005 and prior. In 2005, Totals hit very true to form for the bettors -- not so in 2006 with the rules changes.

My feeling is that they're playing it safe with Totals this season.

Way too early gridironguy, they will be posted and you will be able to play them if you wish...

All totals on all CFB games will be posted the week of the games. Even last year, totals were not put up until Tuesday or Wednesday of each week at most places not named Pinnacle, and it will be the same thing this year.

Books are not stupid, you cannot put up totals so early, way too many factors that can give a player an edge if put up early and things happen.
