Using electronic check deposit at 5 Dimes
I was elated earlier this month when I found out I could make a deposit into my 5 Dimes via electronic check. 5 Dimes says he can deposit up to $300.00 USD at a time up to $1,000.00 USD a week. And if you certify your account by sending over a copy of your drivers license and a voided check, you can qualify for larger limits and no waiting. Apparently this was all a lie. You cannot certify your account. Sending a copy of your drivers license and a voided check will achieve nothing but give 5 Dimes more information about you. You cannot deposit up to $1,000.00 a week because it will take up to 15 business days for your 1st deposit to clear. Until then, you cannot make any additional deposits or request a payout. It would have been nice to know all this before I made my deposit by as anyone who has a 5 Dimes account, there is very little information listed on their site. I'm tempted to pull all my money out but have been winning everyday and don't want to take a payout too early. Is anyone else having the same problem?

5Dimes is a solid sports book but it is NOT good to give them too much information. I believe to do a e check with them you have to give your SS# and Driver's License Photo and # and your banking information. That is way to much information to give to them if they ever get busted, which I think won't happen.

Less than 24 hours after my post, 5 Dimes has eliminated deposits via electronic check.

Using checks to fund 5dimes
Hello,
I work at Omega. The Omega e-wallet is a funding option at 5Dimes and you can fund your Omega account by check. Omega requires you to fax the check and a copy of your ID. You can receive up to $200 instantly for a $10 fee and the balance in about 3-5 business days. First time depositers over $1000 also receive a 5% bonus. The check limits are up to $10,000. Hope the information helps.

Hi Mike,
Can you give us a list of sportsbooks that use Omega? A list of fees? Do you offer an eCheck service beyond $200 with 5% fee? Thank you.

Bill,
I got a letter from Omega where I can put cash directly to 2 big name banks in my area and they would show up instantly as soon as I call them about the deposit.
Not sure if Mike wanted me to talk about this option in open forum.

Eliminated? Unless they are giving me the run around (which likely they are), I was told they ran into some technical issues last and this morning and should be up and running by tomorrow
and true they told me that 15 day waiting period but the check cleared in 4 days and was told I was able to redeposit whenever (unfortunately)

Check options
Bill/freebie,
The current sites using Omega are 5Dimes, Jazzsports, BetTrojan, TopCat, BetLasPalmas, Ehorse, BetGuardian, and Daily Handicapping Contests. I expect by the end of next week to have SuperiorBook/Superior Poker, BetMania, SBGGlobal, Gamblers Palace, PokerHost and PitBullPoker using Omega as well. Additionally we will be options on the new sites DoingPoker and Go2Wager. Omega has operations in Costa Rica so we are in contact with most of the sites based in Costa Rica.
The fees to deposit are as follows: Money Gram/WU you have to pay your own fees but Omega charges nothing, minimum deposit $150 . Wire Transfer you only pay your own bank wire transfer out fee, minimum deposit $500/ no max. Checks by fax/email/phone/mail no fees, minimum deposit $100/max $9,999. Cash options through our funding merchant Omega Quick Cash, no fee minimum deposit $20 and maximum $5,000. There are no fees to transfer to other users or to merchants.
I am happy to provide information about the Omega check options. First time users can receive up to $200 instant funding with a 5% fee. Amounts over the $200 are available in about 3-5 business days. Repeat users can have their limits raised for instant funding. The criteria for increasing limits is subject to the size and frequency of previous deposits.
Just a quick note about Omega Quick Cash which offers the cash deposit options. Omega Quick Cash is a separate funding merchant which specializes only in helping people fund their Omega accounts with cash. Omega Quick Cash has no relationship with any site that uses the Omega e-wallet. They simply help people get money into an Omega e-wallet. This business opportunity is open to anyone interested in starting their own independent funding business. There are no start-up costs and funding merchants can offer options outside of what Omega offers, like Omega Quick Cash does. Omega pays a 6% commission on all funds that these funding merchants transfer to other users. Omega anticipates that these independent funding merchants will grow in the future.
In fact becoming an Omega Merchant is a pretty good option for individuals who regularly deposit more than $2,500 as they can earn 6% on anything they transfer to other users or merchants. I think that pretty much answers the questions. I will try and be a little more concise in the future.

Omega Mike I think it's great another player is trying to enter the industry. Unfortunately I had a poor experience with you guys from the onset.
When I first tried to deposit via the number listed for QuickCash I kept genting a gentleman's answering machine that said nothing of QuickCash. When I called a few weeks later it just rang and rang at various times over a two day period.
I've also tried e-mailing you for other options. One time I got an e-mail back between 48-72 hours, and the first time I sent an e-mail your way I never got a response at all.
I know Omega is just starting out and has a long way to go, but I found my initial attempts to make contact so carelessly handled that it'll be several months before I attempt to transfer money through you again. I sincerely hope you get more dependable middle men and become a growing force in months to come. Cheers....

Thanks Mike, from the sounds of things having someone as concerned as you at the helm is a great start. I'm thrilled you found this place to talk to us directly. You're certainly in an area that has a huge void. I think we can both agree that some more Quick Cash merchants will really help as well. I tried to make my initial deposit probably a month or two ago, and will definitely keep your e-mail handy for my next attempt. I think everyone would love to see Omega take off, continue to improve/streamline services, and succeed. Cheers mate...

Mike, any negotiations ongoing to add Bookmaker or Bodog (both with CR operations, I believe?).

Bookmaker and Bodog
Drunkenlullaby,
Thanks for the question. Bookmaker is I hope coming onboard by the end of this week. The contract is being reviewed by their legal guys and hopefully that should be complete this week. Bodog will probably be a little longer. We are in contact with them and hopefully they will come onboard as soon as possible. I wish I had a more definite answer but that is the latest information.

Lebowski give them a call or do a livechat. I would rather them give you the information than myself, but it went smooth when i used there quick cash service.
I know they accept WU, but not sure of debit cards. Just give them a call/Livechat.

I am confused maybe, but if you can WU or Moneygram straight to a book, or bank wire to them, why go through Omega?
Please explain

Omega questions
We are looking forward to having Bookmaker and other sites on as well and hope that will be very soon. With regard to using Omega instead of going directly to a site with WU or Money Gram, I think the biggest advantage is that you only have to make one transaction if you are playing at multiple sites. For example, if you want to play at 5Dimes, BetMania, and Jazzsports then you only send one payment to Omega and then easily transfer money to multiple sites. This saves you time and money. Plus we are offering a 5% bonus on all first time deposits over $1000.
Also, if you have money in one site and want to move to another then it is much faster using Omega than cashing out and cashing back in to another site. I hope that answers your question.

Omega Mike, few questions for you if you don't mind.
What safeguards do you have in place to protect our personal information? I know employee theft of info has happened at a few of the books in the past. The way Neteller handed over our info when they had legal trouble was also a little disheartening.
Second, when I want to cash out from a book, will they send my money directly to Omega?
Thanks for your time.

Gonna play devils advocate here a little Mike, you make it sound like you can easily move money between sites. Do you not charge an 8% fee for doing that last I heard? Sounds like it would add up, especially considering you can deposit a WU and have the fee waived with many books, and only pay for a cash out. Sure its easier to deposit once instead of 10 Wu's, but not if you're gonna be getting taxed moving cash left and right.

Omega questions
JBC77,
Thanks for the question. Some of the ways we protect information are by limiting employee access to certain areas in our systems and limiting the information very narrowly that we share with the sites that use Omega. Omega also has certain technical and security restrictions in place to limit access to sensitive information.
Omega can be a cash out option for you or you can use other methods that the site may offer. This policy is dependent on the site.
Crazyl,
Thanks for the question. There are no User fees to move money within the Omega system. For example you cash out $2000 from 5Dimes into Omega then you receive $2000 in Omega which you can then transfer to another site. The fees you are referring to are if you are completely exiting the Omega system, then those fees would apply. So Omega is ideally suited for moving your money between sites, taking money off a site to use again for bonuses, and as a universal funding point for various sites.

Mike, dare I ask if there have been any conversations between Omega and the brain surgeons at Sportsbook.com. I think it would be a sure sign of an impending apocalypse if they were to show the wisdom to use you, but I might as well ask.
