Just wondering who here all has a sports pager. Trying to find out if it would be a decent purchase or not and I was looking for feedback from people who have them.

I got a free one from Cris. Baseball scores are slow, slower than my t-mobile internet score. I haven't try football yet. But preseaon is not all that great, because it doesn't show details. Just the score and how many minutes left in a quater.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of using it more for line movements, player news, and weather than scoring updates. Any info at how they are at that?

There good if your just using it on couch or something for quick scores but if you travel a lot your just better off with some type of pda phone

I was under the impression that they provide scores, stats, odds, weather, and other news. The ones I have found so far all provide those services. Anybody else have any opinions on sports pagers? Any advice on these would be helpful.

i got one from sportsbook.com. Couldn't figure out how to use it. More importantly the battery life was only two weeks. No way was I going to buy a new battery every other week

I got one of those big 4 line pagers off ebay about 3 years ago.
It does what I got it for and it still works.
If I remember it cost like $130 nothing monthly.
It does scores and lines.
it also does some weather, injury updates and very few in game plays.
It also updates lines every so often.
Scores update about every 30 sec.
