    Default Redskins interested in Grossman!

Wow...was wondering if he would get a second chance...but he has a ton of trouble looking off receivers and on short passes. No doubt he can throw a bomb. Was just 5 years ago he took bears to Super Bowl.

He doesn't have any chance of starting for us. 2nd string back-up at best.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Shanahan isn't a dumbass like Cerrato was, so the OL should and will be improved. I just hope Shanny gives Campbell a chance, and it's looking like he will.

Grossman does have some talent...but he has a lot of trouble reading a defense. Campbell ok....Skins hurt themselves last few years with free agents that did not pay off...

After the draft is when we'll find out what Shanahan thinks of Jason Campbell. Curious if they'll take a QB with the pick.

Pretty good chance we'll take Bradford, but there have been a couple of reports from Washington that all lead to Campbell being the guy Shanny wants starting. No telling how long he'll last though.

Campbell has all the talent in the world but just lacks the ability to make the right decision play after play and unfortunately you can't teach instincts!!!!

If Grossman is your starting QB then your team is in a lot of trouble.

This, I can agree with. He is certainly not the best decision maker, and when you combine that with a weak OL, you've got trouble. However, I do think he can be a pretty damn good QB with a good and healthy OL.

Not a chance in hell he'll be our starter if we do end up signing him, unless an injury happens...

They had a solid OL 2 or 3 years ago and he still could not produce, although he was young and did not have a good receiving group.

But regardless I do not know what Gibbs was thinking taking him as a first round pick when he was projected to be a second round pick and played his college ball with a very good Auburn squad that had one of the best back fields in the country.

I hope you're not talking about when he went 6-2 in his first 8 games with a healthy OL, and then finished the season 2-6 after injuries affected the OL?

The team went 6-2 mostly on the ground running the ball, Campbell did nothing beyond average!!!

Very true, not throwing a pick in your first 8 games is pretty average now that you mention it...

grossman and campbell both have no chance of starting a year from now

By a year from now, do you mean this upcoming season? Or next March 5th? Or the 2011 season?

If it's either of the first two, then you're an idiot.

Oh, I see, you're talking about a kid who was in his first full year as a starter?

2nd season in the league and started 7 games the season before no excuses here, and 2 seasons later is hardly even known outside of the state of maryland. Quite simply he has the talent but will never be a star in this league.

I guess me and you differ on expectations for someone entering their first year as a starter. Lets not forget we did make the playoffs that year (even if it was mainly from the play of that stud Todd Collins.) I agree that Campbell probably won't be a star by any means, but I don't see any reason why he can't be still be a top ten QB.

As a bears fan, I have to totally disagree. He had plenty of chances to prove himself. I think that he had too many actually. I believe that he was the reason that the bears lost the super bowl. The fumbles and the interceptions were inexcusable. The guy is a f***ing midget. He has no business as an NFL QB.

im a skins fan and id take cutler over grossman any day. and orton over both but unfortunately thats not an option. i was pissed when they cut chase daniels (missouri) dumb move. cambell is also not the answer- we need a real quarterback...cambells strong and tall with a good arm but he doesnt seem to have a high football iq

I couldn't disagree with you more about Rex being responsible for the Super Bowl. The fumbles are as much Kruetz's fault. Every QB has had fumbling problems, no matter how big his hands are. Also, the gameplan (to throw the ball in the rain) was awful given the fact that Thomas Jones was running the ball so well.

Blaming Rex is the easy way out.

Rex was just not into it. The last game of the season when they got destroyed by GB, he admitted that he was thinking about his New Years party that he was having afterwards. Peyton Manning was practicing with wet balls during super bowl week to prepare for the game. Why wasn't Rex? I agree with you that the bears should have used Jones more, but Grossman was underprepared.

You probably think Colt Brennan is this best option now then, right?
