Its the same ole BS, blame everything but the parents. If parents were to raise/supervise their kids properly, there wouldnt be near the problems in the USA we now have with a multitude of issues.

Given how much parents micro-manage kids these days I'm surprised this stuff happens at all.
On the other hand though, I guess since parents won't let there kids leave the house to do anything, that probably increases the chance they will get in trouble online. I can't believe how afraid and paranoid everyone in the US has gotten. |

I don't believe a majority of these teens are hiding their gambling from parents. Maybe they hide the extent to which they play, but they're funding the accounts somehow.
I don't see how implementing any age verification software will slow down kids from gambling, unless they're outright stealing identities, they will just have an adult make accounts for them. Of course this type of effort will help thwart anybody using stolen credit cards, in areas where credit cards are accepted atleast. The bright side is anything to promote online gambling as being cleaner or safer will hopefully lead to it's regulation and legalization by the U.S. government. ![]() Last edited by CrazyLou; 08-08-07 at 10:25 PM.. |

This bill is in the first step in the legislative process. Introduced bills go first to committees that deliberate, investigate, and revise them before they go to general debate. The majority of bills never make it out of committee.
