Betonline.com - where did these guys come from?
I apologize for my ignorance in advance if I am missing something obvious here, but who is betonline.com and how are they on the SBR recommended list?
They are an A- book?
How do they go from a C- to an A- in 5 months?

BetOnLine was aquired by BestLines hence they assumed BestLines rating.
When they aquired BetOnline they made the aquisition to get the domain name of BetOnline. They closed the BetOnline office in Costa Rica and moved all the players under BestLines and changed their name to BetOnline.

Forgive me once again if this is total ignorance, but I have never heard of "bestlines" either. Bestlines is a more recommended book than matchbook?
I read this stuff every day, and feel like I am on top of most significant offshore developments - but I am baffled with this.

So 20 some odd people have read this thread and think that betonline.com should be on the recommended list and Matchbook shouldnt?
I feel like I have landed in an alternate universe.

Well I am going to give them a shot and see how they are but I do agree with you on a very interesting observation... With how many people talk Matchbook up so high and most people's number one out; it is NOT on the list but some others are..?

I was in the same boat as you Vanzack.
Betonline offers a reduced football package which includes -105 on sides and totals and -108 on 1H Sides and Totals.
Per my conversation with my account manager there, Gabby, she says they welcome professional action however in a thread awhile back someone posted that they will collar you if you win. I don't know which to believe.
They have a wide variety of deposit methods and Gabby even told me they have money on hand to cover every clients account balance.
Thats all i got right now.

Im not sure about professional action as their stated limits are 2k on sides for NFL games.
Look - Im not bashing here - I know nothing about them - they might be a great out and have great intentions - hell for all I know they are the next pinnacle.
But isnt something wrong that Betonline.com is on the SBR recommended list and Matchbook isnt? In the upper right of this screen, Matchbook is listed 2nd as the users choice - betonline or bestsports did not get a single point with 32 sportsbooks ahead of them - but they are not recommended?
In an attempt to honestly understand this, what am I missing?

Settle down. Go find a local with a website .They pay any top offshore 5% , and you get paid on Tuesday. I dont see what the comparison is? Get paid in 2 days, or 2 months. Anyone can find a local.

Vanzack.
Im going to assume they don't list matchbook as high as they should because all you can play there are ML's, sides and Totals and they dont offer the options a fully operational sportsbook would.
But how can you not rank a sportsbook/exchange that has .1 to .3 cent lines with super fast payouts and is located on Antigua(very safe) and welcomes any size bet.
I also felt in my conversation with betonline that they were telling me everything i want here, and example being they welcome professional action and posted on their website they have 2K limits.

Matchbook is #2 on the user poll at the top of this page, betonline.com is at least 33rd.

After getting screwed by cascade I only trust one book. Hard to believe that they can offer -105. It even took Pinny years at -108 before they moved to -105. Never heard of these guys and it's easy to say you got huge piles of money laying around.

Thing that worries me a bit about Bestlines or BetOnLine is
(1) that some of the principals there may have been associated in exec capacity with the ill-fated BetOnSports. I know that Bestlines had their mailing list, and that BoS computers were shipped to the Bestlines office in Panama. Or so stated some of the workers in CR when the jump took place.
(2) which segues nicely into numero dos, that it's in Panama, still wide open badlands as far as I know, re any kind of even minimal regulation of sports books.
Probably nothing to really worry about. But then again, in today's atmosphere worry and extreme caution is a good thing.

Panama could be the final frontier. BetUs relocating there also. I think a big difference with BOS is they were publicly traded and operated in the United Kingdom. So when David stopped by for an American bubble bath the feds put the clamps on him and BOS rolled over with British compliance. Better off being in the wild West where you are not allied with a lunatic regime. If Kap and his sister start entouraging through Panama City then I would start worrying. I might give the guys a try this year.

I dunno. Unless their lines are really sharp, a high profile reduced juice book seems pretty vulnerable to scalpers. I don't know what happened to Cascade, but wouldn't be surprised if low juice had a big part in it. Cascade had a A- rating just a year ago. So I prefer to wait and see for at least a year.

So does Matchbook.
We love Matchbook. I'd say both books are excellent and both are on a steady rise.

Hey, we all want understanding and any kind of clarity at this juncture. As long as Kap is distanced from them I will take a flier and also have a friend or two try them out. If you have ever read one of my sportsbook reviews they are a total Frog no shit assessment. No one pays me nuthin. I had zero dollars in BOS, bet Pan Am, Aces Gold or any of the other they are a great book but folded overnight sagas. Sadly part of the equation is sweating the payout.
Will try to keep you all informed.

The only bad comment on the SBR Ratings is the one not posted.
We have made very good calls like the 1st site to recommend Pinnacle and we have made horrible calls like Cascade at A-.
We do visit all the books or nearly all of them every year. But a major key has always been player feedback. And we get a lot of that on SBR and here in the forum. It will be over here the day we stop listening to the players. They are our analysts.

Well, to SBR's credit, they have the posters' top choices listed along with site recommend list. I find it very useful, and to my opinion, it also shows that SBR is not hiding the fact that it has different opinions on some top-rated books from its posters. People are more likely to make informed decisions on which books to use based on the information provided here.

I guess the above info is correct if somewhat incomplete.
Betonline was bought from betonsports. It has always had the same domain but was better known as infinity. Infinity did suffer some problems that were highlighted on majorwager.
Big plus for the shop is 7-1 on 3 team parlays

Infinity is still rated on the SBR list at D-.
Betonline therefore has 2 ratings A and D-, guess you can take your pick
