Here in the UK you can change your name by deed poll,don`t know how much it costs though.

fill a form at your local social security building, i don't remember if there is a fee i don;t think so though, then update all your ids with your newly issued ss card. very simple really.

a lawyer will do it for $500-$1k but fak em
