Personally, I dont think a fetish with dog fighting makes him totally damaged goods. But his stock is certainly way down. So buy low?
I would part with a 1st rounder to get him. He's only 27.
What would you deal or is his career toast?

His image is tarnished, but he still has good years ahead of him.
I'm just not sure any team could win a championship with him at QB. So I wouldn't pick him up.

A conditional 5th round pick, if that.

You'd give up a first-rounder for a guy who's in all likelihood never going to take another snap in the NFL?![]()
The government wouldn't have handed down the indictment if they didn't have concrete, indisputable evidence against Vick. According to The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, 99% of the people indicted by the federal government between 2000 and 2005 were convicted. Bottom line: Vick's screwed. His NFL career's over.

I don't even think Vick was worth a first-rounder before all of this happened.
Think Atlanta would like to have Matt Schaub back now?

I have to agree with the "if he is convicted he is done crowd". I guess he could plead out, and then claim he didn't know about it, but had to settle. If he admits to it, he is going to need "to find Jesus" before any city is going to want to bring in to QB their team.

Vick is toast. Federal case with 95% conviction rate.

Vick might not even be claimed off waivers if he was on it, he has no value anymore.

He could of been a great 3rd down back and a wide out and probably stiil can be but not a QB.

i wouldn't want the dude on my team
not a good qb and not worth the negative vibes at punt returner or slot receiver
too much of a hassle and too many bad questions will surround him for years assuming he is not in jail

I guess I'm going to have to play devil's advocate. The amount of attention and money that Vick would generate is worth much more than a first round pick. I personally don't think he's much of a player, and if true the allegations against him are despicable.
But he still puts butts in seats and is the face of a franchise. If I'm the owner or GM of a team like Kansas City or Minnesota, I'd love to have him. Is it worth the excess baggage and draft pick/player to bring him to a mid-major NFL franchise? I say yes.
