i understand the part about feeling like a kid, i watch football and basketball and they first thing i do is check out the cheerleaders, just like when i was 18. Some kids were playing street hockey and I went in to play goalie, and it was just like back in high school, outside of having to make your own living , nothing changes in your mind whether 40 or 20,
P.S. make sure you work out a little more now, that is one thing that will change, the pounds add up and getting them off is much harder,, happy bday

I am a little out in front of you Justin, but have always had the same thoughts. Only problem with that thinking is that now I wake up and hurt in places I never did before and can't figure out why!!

They say you are only as old as you feel so happy birthday. And I think 40 is plenty young. This is especially true if you are in good health.
Just think someday we all can hopefully look forward to laying in bed all day with our feet on pillows and getting sponge baths from some hot nurse assistant. Yeah, the nursing home days are going to be great. Hell, they'll even wipe your ass for you.

Let's get one thing straight boys. After you turn 29 there is no such thing as a Happy Birthday. Oh you can pretend but it's just one step closer to the eternal dirt nap. Justin, I'm about your age and I can tell you that the only good thing you've got going for you is, if you're smart, you get smarter. You develop a sixth sense about people, challenges and life in general. You're able to retrieve answers and analyze situations, which at one time may have been opaque are now virtually transparent.
You still like to play games. Well of course you do because that is intrinsic to your nature. You enjoy challenges and the satisfaction that is derivative from defeating those obstacles and succeeding whether it be a wager or a video game. However what we don't realize is how others, particularly younger people, view us. In our minds we are smarter, savvier, and more knowledgeable than we ever were in our younger days, albeit a bit older. The irony is, the generations before us perceive us to be out of touch, stiff, and almost unreachable. But we're not we scream to ourselves! Unfortunately Justin, with all that wisdom and experience comes a generational gap that may be imperceptible to us but conspicuous to them . Physically, we may not be as pretty as we once were but intellectually, emotionally and our sense of self is far greater than it once was. This is what they see but we do not. In essence it validates the old axiom, youth is wasted on the young. Happy Birthday partner, your first pair of reading glasses are on me..
