Default Expekt accept rest of wager AFTER event.

On the 15th 10:05 I bet on Tamba bay to win over the Yankees. Around half my wager was accepted but the rest was waiting approval, usually I get an email very fast that tell me what happen to the remaining stake.

But this time, I didnt get it. First I waited patiently for 15 minutes and then sent an email but nothing happened. Then I waited a full day but no answer and when I looked at transaktion history on the 16th, it says that my bet was lost.
Then today (on the 17th) I recieve an email that the remainder of my ticket has been excepted. This is AFTER the event has been played.

    Can they really do this?

Are you sure it wasn't an email delivery delay, rather than anything malicious? You should be able to see what time the email was actually sent if you look at the headers.

Did you ask their CS about the timing? Never had that with Expekt and have bet there many times..

You do not always get email confirmation,it is up to you to check your pending bets just in case you do not.

The problem is that there is no way to see if your bet is accepted or not.

If you bet $1000 and 500$ is pending approval, it will show $1000 and then if they will not accept it they will refund the remaining $500.

I think you can. It says like this 500 (500) or something if it is still waiting for a approval

then you should be able to get your money back. I think that when you place a bet they say "normally we approve the rest within minutes bla bla bla but if we do not do it until the game starts we will refund the rest of the stake to your account"

You are wrong when part of a bet is still being considered it shows in brackets in the pending bets, when the decision to accept or not is made the brackets are removed and the total accepted displayed.
    It is quite clear.

You are wrong actually. I looked it up b4 and I saw how the slip looked when my bets partially got accepted.

It showed the full sum in the slip (no brackets) and then created a another transaction saying how much got refunded.

Regardless of how this works out, I really hate Expekt's system. Why not use lower limits they will accept without approval?

I don't have a problem with the system, they do what you say in effect, they give you a lower limit automatically then the rest. I'd rather there is a chance of getting the rest, than no chance as it is at some places.

I think this guys problem is he does arbitrage. He would have only covered the first half of his bet. Then after the event he is left with a $500 deficit because his bet was accepted. His only problem is that he should not bet with books like Except because this thing can happen and it is far too risky. That is the real issue here, just stop betting with except.
