Default Little arb sitting there

It's probably a long-shot that anyone can use it but I keep seeing it so I thought I'd mention it

There is some scalping software out here but I do not know how accurate it is

I think a few Euro outfits provide it even for Amwrican books

Quite a few of the European odds comparison sites highlight the arbs. However:

1) The information isn't always up-to-date - there might have been an arb at some point, but by the time you try to make a bet - poooof, it's gone.

2) More importantly, typically one or both the the books are pretty dodgy - it's really not worth laying down $5K for a possible 50 buck profit at a book where you might not get your money back.

Yeh you need too much money in shady books to make money scalping and it is not worth the risk

Come on JJ, You are just trying to save it all for yourself. There are some great opportunities out there. Some players find that playing the more valuable line is less stressful and offers the same value over the long haul.

You are certainly right about "shady books" offering weak numbers. 'Off numbers' in itself can be a warning sign. I remember using some early line comparison sites where I would scan through the odds of about 40 books. Everytime my eyes lit up on a great bargain I would find myself saying "who the hell is that??" after looking up to see where the line was offered. Most of those books are out of business now.

Unless they are doing Wal-mart volume they can't offer Wal-mart bargains.

The problem with scalping is you need to much money offshore and usually the bad books have the off numbers to scalp

If one of your books goes down you lose all your money + more and the scalping profits are gone.

When I focus on it, I can make at least a couple grand a month just arbing between safe, highly rated books. That's a nice supplement to the income. It only takes $70 a day on average to make 2K. Not that hard to do.

It has taken years to learn what to look for and when, but the opportunities are definitely there. Actually I'm sure I could make a lot more than a couple grand a month if I really set my mind to it.

It's kind of boring work though so I don't focus on it that much.

How much time does it take to make $70 a day and how much do you need in books and how many books?

I would say start off with a matchbook account so you can get +107 to +110 occasionally on full game bets

yeah, I've asked john why don't they date when the thread was started to the left like they date the last post in the thread to the right. I don't know how many times I've been reading something & been confused as hell until I realize it was from the Carter administration.

Been having a bit of fun the last 10 days or so arbing on the olympics. Predominantly laying off at betfair. Not huge profits but risk free - Boylesports has been best for me but found nice easy lays at centrebet, luxbet, bet365. iasbet and 5dimes.
5dimes has some very soft head to head lines as well. You don't need to know anyhthing about the sport - 2 minutes studying their head to head lines in individual races uncovers many irregularities.
