Default Fav Coach?

Since it's getting close to Football Season and I'm new to the forum... I just want to get an Opinion here:
Who is your favorite NFL coach ever?

I must be partial to the Buffalo Bills,
But I got to go with MARV LEVY!
Who's yours? Razz

First name that comes to mind for me: George Seifert.

His 1994 49ers team was responsible for the greatest betting streak of my life. It's all about the money.

If I try to actually evaluate coaches from a purist standpoint, I guess I would go with Jimmy Johnson. Before I totally stopped caring about sport for sport sake, I was a Cowboys fan and Johnson's teams were entertaining to watch and effective. They gave me some thrills.

(You'd think Tom Landry would be the choice for me but for some reason Johnson stands out more. He was ballsier.)

Buddy Ryan gets my vote. He was the only coach that went out of his way to cover 2 games for me.

I mean come on... Who takes an intentional safety when his team has absolutely no chance of winning the game, and you have the ball at your own 35 yard line. The other game was the last game of the preseason against the bears. He left all of his starters in the whole game just so his team could cover the spread.

Default Mike Riley from Oregon State

He was sort of a boy wonder winning the Grey Cup in Canada a couple times with Winnipeg then had success as an assistant at USC and didn't do so good as head coach of the Chargers but is dynamite with Oregon State.A mild mannered guy that knows his stuff and is still pretty young where I think he will be given a chance at someplace like Penn State or USC or back in the NFL with a better team than the Chargers were a few years back.

Tough question. I don't really like any NFL teams, but I always liked Joe Gibbs a lot, and generally find myself rooting for even this weak Redskins team.

NFL coaches are mainly a source of entertainment for me, so Dennis Green ranks up there.

As far as sympathy, I'd have to go with Marty, after he let go off Marty ball.

Jimmy Johnson, won at "THE U", then took the Cowboys to 2 SB. We all know they would have won 4 in a row if Jimmy didnt leave.
