Default Get Rid OF PM Feature

Fraud running rampant on the thing, mods turning their heads and looking for payoffs. When does it stop?

Do you mind elaborating. I think a youtube vid would do the trick.

Hard to mod the PM feature JJ, when we can't see the messages. If that sort of stuff is happening on the PM feature, we need the members to alert us of it.

there a 1000 programmers who can do a custom mod that would allow u to monitor private messages. my site is php and my guy did for me for $100. Why would anyone allow people to use features on there site against them. Look into it. Its easy.

Well we don't have that hack for vB. Or I just don't have permissions to see them, and personally don't want to snoop through private messages.

I don't know about anybody other than onlooker and myself, but I just couldn't invade somebody's privacy like that dodif. I'd rather scrap the whole private message service than to do that IMO.

You have a point but thats not the way it will be done around here. They are "Private messages" which pretty much means they are private.

When we are alerted to abuse we can log into that account and find out, which we notify them.

There are always going to be some bad apples but the majority shouldnt be punished. Its a nice feature and those that abuse it will simply have it turned off and possibly banned from the SBR web sites.

    SBRJohn,

I certainly agree with you on that it is a great feature and the ones that abuse it should be banned from the site. I enjoy it though without a doubt.

I use mine just for myself as a daily diary of my day and some mods must read it because in my posts they at times drop little hints that they "know" stuff about me. I write all my life story with the PM system and don't appreciate some mod reading them. It will stop or I sue the forum owner for privacy invasion, I bet I can get an easy $70,000. I guess some guys get the cocks off reading personal shit of another poster.
