    Question Federer and Wimbledon

    Would it have been better to take Federer to win outright pre tournament or bet him in each match?

    probably to have taken him pre tournament. I don't know what he was against Gasquet but I know most of his matches have been between -3000 and -10000. I also don't know what he was pretournament but it was probably no worse than -300.

    I'm reliably informed that a parlay on Fed each round at Betfair prices would have paid 1.44 minus a touch for comission (-227). Fed started at 1.49 (-204) and came in to 1.47 (-213) pre tournament.

    So as it turned out it was better to bet before the start, had Haas not given Fed a bye in one round, the parlayed odds would have been better.
