I am just wondering, gamblers are supposed to have this sort of "gamblers integrity" where one of the worst things you can do is bail on your gambling debt.
I remember over the years there have been a lot of well known posters who were virtually flushed down the toilet instantly when it became known that they were reneging on their gambling debts. McIrish is the most well known story, but there have been many.
This very site started out really as a site that was supposed to be about outing all the scam books that didnt pay. So I am just wondering, why have the posters on this board that screwed Credit wagering been given nearly a free pass by the board ?
Now, I know I am going to be called a Credit Wagering shill for this, so I put that next to my name. I know I will also be accused of being one of the owners of CW. If you believe that then you can just send me $200 cash and your CW debt is clear.
I know that the owners of CW are to a great extent at fault. They should have known that this would happen. Perhaps that were nieve enough to believe that most gamblers would honor their gambling debt. Perhaps, they were just stupid. Fact is that their stupidity or nievity (sp) does not excuse a gambler taking a shot then walking away. To me, that is as bad an excuse as McIrish saying he wasnt paying because Dave called him at 6 AM.
Im not going to try to condone CW's threatening of a posters mom ( if that really happened ), and I am sure they have done other things wrong. But the fact is that CW has paid its players and continues to pay its players while it is probably being stiffed by 98% of the players who lose.
I am just saying, there have been a lot of posters on this board crying about being stiffed out of
SBR points, and the so called "point stiffs" get more crap for stiffing then posters who admittedly owe and refuse to pay CW. There are over 700 faces on the stiff pages at CW, so I am guessing they have over 1000 non paying players and are thus owed over $1,000,000 a million dollars.
Do we really expect them not to be a little pissed, not to make some calls trying to collect ? I have to believe that most posters on this board would be furious if they got stiffed for $500, in fact I have seen it thousands of times on the forums. Yet we seem to expect CW to just eat the million dollars and there seems to be very little negative responses to those who have admittedly taken a shot at CW.
Why do the Credit Wagering Stiffs get a free pass here on SBR ?
