I had Venus +4 1/2 games at The Greek. I took this because I thought it would be close. Was really surprised Sharapova never showed up. Venus however was on fire and maybe that had something to do with it. At this rate though, it looks like Sharapova will NEVER win another GS again until the Williams sisters retire especially on grass and hard. Clay she will never win anyway.

was it venus or serena who has a calf injury and tough it out and won the game? i took the sharapanova line because i thought she was playing the one with the injury, i guess it is the other one.

It is Serena with the calf injury and she's down one set - love now and is ahead 1-0 in the second set.

She won the US open last year and did beat Serena for the Wimbledon title in 2004. She should be good for at least 5 more majors

She's still carrying a niggling injury at the moment also, once she recovers from that she'll be improved.

She isn't going to be able to beat the Williams sisters or Henin in any tournament. Before long Vaidisova and Ivanovic will be right up there with her. I think it would be a stretch to say she will win 5 more majors. Realistically she would be lucky to win 2. Thats my opinion though and only time will tell.

Venus right now looks like the best player left, she has won this event before so watch out.
