Never had dealings with them personally I'm relieved to say, but from what I have read here and elsewhere "English Sport Betting" appears to be the cream of the crop, in terms of scum. Think they became Telebet or something like that.....

i'll second the top turf. Had account there in the mid 90's, spoke to the same girl in customer service for weeks trying to get a payout. one day i called and she tried to tell me her name was different even though i had spoken to her for the last several weeks. eventually got a small payout from them and then they disappeared.

Hey Shamswolf have you had recent problems with GamblersPalace.com? I have been playing there for about 3 years and never had a problem unless it was something like neteller shutting down. Is there something going on I don't know about?

ESB/Telebet has to be the longest running scam. There were lots of disappearing acts but these guys kept it going for years. Stealing was an art for them.

In terms of actual books that cheated from a wagering standpoint, JC has an all star cast. Add WorldWager.

OH NO SIR... I used them three years ago and I had a really tough time getting small payouts (a month) but they never did stiff me they just made it hell and i got some and lost the rest to bets... They could have improved...

Good list. But to be the worst ever you have to be a raging no pay book with terrible people behind it.

How about Luckys? This was a decent size book that did not even have a payout department as far as I know.

My list has some 100% stiffs and some books that will stiff anyone who wins too much, and for no other reason. A couple are still oerating today, SBG and BetUS.

good to hear. I played there quite a few years ago. I never had a problem, but then again I probably never requested a payout. I think it was Gamblers Palace that paid a friend of mine 17000 he won at blackjack. Yes, you read that right, blackjack. I dumped some $$$ there trying to do the same with no luck.

Aces Gold went out of business but was a great book for 5+ years. SBG only stiffs guys with 5 figure balances. Alladins Gold and BoS went out of business.

BetUS hmm... they certainly have ripped off players mainly big players but they have been better under Kevin King the last 2+ years.

Tej's Pyramid and Scores were bad. But some players got paid.

Luckys is still my vote. they were big, run by jeff pearson and did not have a payout dept. None was needed.

Yes, they rented space in the same building and eventually redirected the site and players to 5Dimes.
