Default Anyone Ever Hit a Parlay?

If so, what was the best parlay you ever hit?

I have never hit one and don't even bet parlays anymore but I was wondering if anyone has ever hit one.

    Good luck today

I use to always play them and no better feeling than hitting a 3 or 4 teamer but it is rare. I think parlays though are the only way to make a score, there is no way you are going to build a bankroll betting everyday straight, eventually you get killed.

If I bet parlays it's usually football and it's a 3 team round robin. I've cashed quite a few of them.

I am going to start betting more of them as it is more exciting than betting straight and plus you can have way more action going.

Last season in week 4 the Detroit Lions stopped me from hitting a 7 game parlay when they let the Rams score the last 10 points of the game to lose 41-33 (the Lions were 5 1/2 point dogs). However, since the other 6 games (all wins) were decided before the Lions spread was finally decided, I was able to hedge the final undecided bet at Tradesports and bought a bunch of Rams contracts cheap. Made a nice profit but not as much as I would have had I hit that 100-1 parlay.

A similar thing happened the season before. Had a live 6 game parlay going, the only undecided game was the Washingtom Tampa Bay spread (Washington was +1/2). You might remember this game as it was the one Washingtom was up a TD with a minute left when Tampa Bay scored and went for 2 and made it to win 36-35. Fortunately once again, Tradesports to the rescue since the other 5 legs of the parlay had been decided, I was able to buy a bunch of TB contracts very cheap while Washington was still leading late and cashed them when they won the game. Once again, the 50-1 payoff for hitting the parlay would have been better.

Still, just trying to say you don't necessarily have to "hit" the parlay to be able to make a good score, sometimes coming close will do just fine.

I've gone 5/6, 6/7, and 7/8 a few other times, but the game I lost was lost too early, and I couldn't hedge.

Been a while since I've hit anything bigger than a 4 team parlay though.

Are you for real or did u just finish having a therapeutic session with Miss Nurse Mary Jane!!!!
One minute you're saying it's rare to hit a 3-4 teamer parlay. Then in the same reply, u come out with "there is no way you are going to build a bankroll betting everyday straight, eventually you get killed"
If you cant build a bankroll betting straight pal, u need to get out of the game and maybe try some infomercial palm reading. And we'll cover your face with a sumo wrestler's ass, so that u wont be liable for all that misleading information! They're good to add to your portfolio, something as an added bonus. But instead of saying what u just said, u should have said " there is no way u are going to build a bankroll betting everyday PARLAYS, eventually your Book will start sending u Chrimas and Birthday cards for contributing to their mass millions .....AND eventually your bankroll will get killed playing this way. U need to increase the amount on your straight plays and dont play too many games.
Never hit the BIG parlay ticket. The most for me on a win is usually 5 gamers. The best i had that was close was a 12 gamer on Hockey (saturday Night). 11/12, payout about 90K. It was a late game >Phoenix was playing St.Louis (who played the night before against Dallas and they won) Phoenix paid decent for a Home dog and they played StLou tough the whole year. Then they go out and get smoked and I got pissed. This is one of those cases when I should have played STL for 25K SU, but I was too caught up in the fact i was one away. Big ticket parlays shorten your life span by 5 years for every one that u missed....sorry no scientific research on that yet....or none that I know of

Nothing wrong with playing two-team parlays if you are a good handicapper, but it is impossible to win in the long run with more teams than that in a parlay.

I like 3 x 2 round robins myself. Do a search on my article on this subject. Better yet, I will bump in a bit.

It's all about the numbers. Parlays can be much more profitable than straight bets, depending on winning percentage.

Very well analyzed in the book 'Win more, lose less'.

On a side note, the book bases its advice on winning percentage, but that fluctuates from season to season, so I'd give myself a cushion. Ideally, in my opinion, you would need a 12-year winning percentage to be able to rely on it.

I might go strictly to parlay betting for foots, I need to make big hits and straight betting will not get the job done.

That was posted on 7/2. Bet on 7/3 and 7/4 and hit both of them. Thank you for reading this and please feel free to reply.

Quite a turn around then ... You never hit one and don't play them any more and now you're on a 3 and 4 game parlay roll ... Interesting.

Yea, Took yours and added the redsox and a couple overs both days. Not bad from going from Under $100 Friday to over 2K into today. Granted the 35 4 teamers were $5 ea but still a fun day. I Really thought that LA game was goin over after the 5th, 6th and 7th last night!!!!

Never messed with reverses. Can't say the same about round robins.

some may seriously question this strategy since the odds do not reflect true value, but i always include a wild parlay in every weekend of the football season. at least 6-8 teams together and at least 100-200 dollars, depending on the games i like and the previous week's profits. i treat it as an expensive lottery ticket. if i have a perfect weekend, then it's all gravy. i've hit 3 6 team parlays and a 7 team parlay. It definitely makes your month hitting one of those.

I've never done a round robin before, can someone give a quick explanation on how it works?

My Round Robin Calculator should help illustrate how a round robin works.

That is my point, no way you build your bankroll to 2k betting $100 or $200 a game as it is virtually impossible.

    Parlays are more fun too.

Parlays are my way to go too. Frankly if I play parlays that mostly is passion betting as I call it rather than analysed betting. A couple of years ago in Austria you didn't have much of a choice anyway. Single bets weren't that common than if I remember well, only online they were.
