    Default See Ya Torre

Worst manager in the history of baseball, how this guy still has a job is beyond belief.

OMG JJ posted something worthy. Actually I don't think he's the worst but he certainly is the worst presently.

He's done, gone.... or should be

Clemens gotta be scratching his head.

They just need a couple more A-Rods. Maybe if they would spend some money on players...

Anyone who thinks Joe Torre is the worst manager ever never got to see the mismanagement skills of Terry Collins, Jimy Williams and Grady Little.

I really don't think it's Torre's fault honestly. You can't get out there and throw the ball or swing the bat for these guys. You can't blame him for a lineup consisting mostly of overpaid, over the hill, and overrated talent. Their record, IMO, doesn't reflect managing decisions but purely a lack of production, mainly from their pitching staff.

The only place Bobby is going is to the HOF five years after he retires.

The guy has won ONE world series and choked in numerous others. Atlanta is in a tailspin and will finish third this year.

He has won one world series. We can debate how much Bobby is responsible for the Braves not winning more than one world series. Fourteen straight division titles speaks to his steady hand at the helm for a long time. He's way up there on the all time manager's wins list. HOF for sure.

The Mets are the best team in the division. No question.

The Braves may finish third this year. I think a lot of it will depend on how healthy Smoltz is the rest of the way.

I agree Bobby is a great coach but I feel he is past his prime. He had some GREAT teams and only won the big one once. Hall of Fame, yes, but you will never see a run like that again. I watched the Braves when Dale Murphy was there and the stadium had about 4,000 fans.

I would think tonight it will be official if they do lose and if they lose 2 out of 3 on the weekend he is gone.

Bobby Cox is the real deal. I understand he has only won one World Champion, but he also has won many division titles, and pennants. There in the hunt for a title every year. The man has won with major turnovers in roster every year. (Come on the guy won with Sid Bream at 1st baseball) Some might forget, pre Bobby Cox. The Braves in the 80's were very bad..... Just look at this year, there 3 games behind the Mets, and there running out there alot of young players mixed in with a few veterans. People are about what have you done for me lately, I guess.

they lose 2 in a row and everyone is making it seem like the season is over...boston is struggling...they are right in the mix of things. expect them to make a few deals and be right in the thick of things...
