Teams don't exactly have a history of doing well the year after they lose the superbowl....

The Super Bowl is played the year after the season. The 2009 regular season end with the 2010 Super Bowl. That is why it is easier for me to remember seasons versus Super Bowls. If someone say who won the 86 Super Bowl, I would immediately reference the 85 regular season.

Exactly youre wager wont get graded until the 2011 year anyways so I refer to it that way

Why not wait til late August though? Not much will change? I understand it's hypothetical money, but why not hypothetically wager on something else?

Vikings would be my preseason pick. They would of rather handily beaten the Colts imho.

My guess as well but the Saints ruined my plans to bet the Vikings

Vikes Colts and Chargers futures all worth a play

Let's all be realistic. The Colts should be better next year than they were this year. I don't know if you guys remember, but the Colts were not a strong fave to win their division this year. Tennessee won it last year, Houston was supposed to be a playoff team, and the Jags always plays the Colts tough. So really this was not supposed to be a Super Bowl run for the Colts who had a new coach, new coordinators temporarily, no Marvin, Addai coming off of a bad season, San Diego having put them out of the playoffs the last two years, a raw secondary, and two new receivers in Collie and Garcon. I was shocked that they had such a good regular season. I even took a future on Tennessee to win the division because I felt the Colts were vulnerable this year. Only Peyton's will made this a special regular season and run to the Super Bowl. So I would definitely take the Colts to win next year over any other team because I can't wait on Favre to decide if he will return. The Chargers are cursed, I wouldn't take them at any odds. The Pats are down. Only other team I see making leaps and bounds of being better are the Packers. Would be my NFC pick even if Favre came back.
