Default Skybook SBR rating A- ... let me tell you something,

Several years ago this book had one of the shortest runs on the SBR Recommended List and now I think they are worthy.

They have improved on their organization imo. Bill and I have met the managers there a few times and I think they are good people. But how do you guys feel about Rio/Skybook on the SBR Recommended List?

Come on John, dish the dirt - why did they have the shortest run on the recommended list?

skybook is an okay book, I don't like the idea that they don't have free Neteller payout.

free 1/2 point is pretty useless unless it's basketball.

Good book. Is Marty J. involved in the Rio group in some fashion?

this is a book that does deserve the SBR "A" rating.

there a solid book you don't hear complaints about at all.

I am a little embarrassed to admit why Taco. Skybook had canceled their advertising at Majorwager and the owner of mw, according to Skybook, was making up false rumors to punish them and to show other books what would happen if they cancelled. At the time SBR resources were limited and as a policy we listened to the larger forum ops. Later, after they paid to silence MW, it became clear they were changing management. That change has been very effective although we liked Rodney, the old GM, and were disappointed when he left. Coming full circle Skybook/Rio has taken 2+ years to make it back to where they are now to A- status.

I have been using skybook now for about two weeks...I have loved my experience with them...excellent customer service, I've had to call in a couple of times and the service has been great...great promotion they ran...like their software and website as well...free half point promo is cool, especially for college hoops...I make a huge recommendation that skybook be added to the recommended list...they are in my top five along with Pinnacle, Cris, bodog and matchbook (another book on the rise)...

I can't find much reason to play with their group of books anymore, but that doesn't mean they aren't worthy, just that they don't offer a ton of value to at least one player. I certainly think more of them than the VIP group.

I apologize to all that have heard this story before...I signed up with VIP Sports at the beginning of football season...before I sign up with a book I do extensive research and usually talk to someone via an online chat to get all of my questions answered...I failed to research that VIP sports does not give any bonuses to people from Nevada (which the customer service people failed to let me know of even though I told them I was from Reno, NV)...I sign up and am credited with a 20% sign-up bonus...I play with them for about four weeks and in the process refer them two new customers (that I was supposed to get paid $75 each for)...I have to wait for these two new people to rollover their balances three times (which is a little fishy, but oh well)...then when I call in they tell me that not only am I not getting paid on those two, but they removed my initial deposit bonus weeks before without me knowing (no email or anything to let me know of the house rules)...so, I feel I got scammed pretty good...I have no problem with the house rules, but I should have been at least contacted up front once they took my bonus out...any book that messes with your account without contacting you in the process should not be rated "A" in my opinion...

That is unacceptable ... when someone holds your money they owe you to be upfront, etc. I dont think bookies should ever go into your account unilaterally without a heck of a good reason.

Best way to go Pat, IMO would be to get yourself a Neteller account and sign up with several of the top rated books at the top of this page (if not all) so you can easily take advantage of any lines that may catch your eye. I always keep some funds in my neteller for such occasions, even if it is only $50 or a $100. Not a huge Bonus chaser, but each to their own i suppose.

And 98 cents makes a dollar, your change Sir.

    Natrass,

I completely agree...which is why I was so upset...no communication whatsover...that is not a very good business practice and is the main reason I am no longer playing with them...

Overrated imo. The CS will kiss your ass, and you can get good promo offers from time to time (if you are a net loser only thou i think...).

But the lines suck, few things to bet on. No big moneylines, -110 on everything. They got famous with their free halfpoint, but you get that and more on every game at Pinny...

Its a good book for bonus "enthusiasts", but i would never have them as a main out like pinny or oly.
Since the CS is indeed very good, they deserve an A (shit even bodog and wwts have an A...).
And IF you are feeling generous put them on the recommended list, after all VIP is there too and they are as square as they come...
