Is There Any Reason To Be Worried If SBR Access Your Accts
I purchased a freeplay a few weeks ago...went thru ok
I tried another one yesterday and it was rejected because of a new rule where you must provide your entire full name to SBR that you have with your sportsbook and if you dont do that the freeplay will be rejected
my question is...what can a random person do with your full name on the internet your email addy and a sportsbook account number to match?
Im not really sure so I chose not to order any more freeplays from SBR
look out for me giving points away cause im stuck with 600 now
thx

I gave my name to them when I went to the Bash. As long as you don't give them the SS# they can't do much with your name.

Although to be honest, I have no recollection of what name I signed up for SBR under. 50/50 chance I used my real name or a fake one thinking I was just gonna do contests and not post. Anyone know where I can access this info to change it?

I would think that the people who have access to that information at your sportsbook are just as dangerous as SBR having the info. If your book is reputable then you should trust them with that info. If you feel that sbr is a reputable trustworthy company, then give them the information, if not, don't.

Don't know why in the heck they would need your full name as well, unless its just a double check, but regardless I would say you do not have anything to worry about because the folks at SBR seem legit.

I feel this site is very trustworthy. The most that could be done is funneling of accounts from that sportsbook account by someone. This site makes its money from rating sportsbooks for us to play in. It's one thing for the book to do funny stuff, but for SBR to do funny stuff, I don't think they want to take the risk of the backlash. They have a good thing going here & I dont think they'd risk that for the amount you would have in a book at any given time. I don't mean that bad, that you'll never have money in it or can't win. I mean most people withdraw before it gets too high. I'd say the people here that have access to any private info are well screened.

When you buy a free play I would think they would verify the name/acct no with the book before the $ goes into the acct. I see no problem with SBR knowing your name. Also, if they have to help you with a book dispute, I think they would need your name.

In fact I think I'll go order a $100 cash right now. I'm the reason of that whole name thing. A few days ago I ordered a $50 freeplay from bookmaker. I have never played with them but I've learned over the past few weeks they have the best opening lines on totals by talking to a couple sharps. I ordered it & my points were refunded & I was expecting to be able to play. Sam said my name on the bookmaker acct didn't match name given in my profile here.
I guess I signed up for an acct w/bookmaker for a free contest here & used my middle name as my last name because that's what I do with anything offshore. So I made another acct with my given last name

Why would they even need that though? They don't need it for BTP or any other contest. They can just call in and say I want to transfer $50 to account # whatever. Personally, I don't see why they need that and it would concern me slightly.

What matters is that the name on your store order matches the name on your sportsbook account. You'll be fine without the info you used to make your forum account.

I'm just posting for random pts!
Seriously.....
It might be the the books want the name to match the account. More reasons for them not to honor a request for free plays or free cash the better for them.
