Yeah, was on right away. It wasn't as blatantly right-wing as I would have expected, but the group who paid for it (Focus on the Family) are definitely fundamentalist wingnuts.

I think it was after kick off. It was a nice, family oriented commerical. I saw nothing that was continuous.

Or they oppose the hypocrisy of CBS allowing a right-wing group to put their commercial on tv while denying the same rights a gay-dating company. A right-wing group that also shows intolerance and ignorance on any number of issues.

The right wing group actually had the money for the commercial. Turns out the gay site didn't.

IMO the worst commercial was the one that we all paid for....yep...you guessed it...the US Census.....we all paid for that one with our tax dollars.

And you got this information where exactly? CBS rejected the commercial because it didnt meet their "standards and practices."

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't CBS' response that they had already filled their slots but that commerical would be on the list if any of the ones could not meet their obligations?

And I heard a lady on a news show make a statement (this was a week or so ago) that this commerical was going to be labeled as one of love but it was really a hate filled 30 second message. Either she didn't see it before uttering those words or she and I have a huge difference of hate filled speech.

I agree that the commercial wasn't nearly as right-wing as I figured it would be, I'm guessing it was a tamer version than what was initially proposed.
