    Default online poker

Why can't any of these online poker sites drop cards randomly. I'm playing at Ultimate Bet and these flops are just getting riduculous. The sad part is i'm up on the site and i'm still ashamed to play there with this action. How many of you play online poker and for god's sake why? This is can not be random. I play at the casino a LOT and never have i seen anything like this. I will be cashing out as soon as I can.

One example of a random flop would be:
    K♥ 3♠ 4♣
Another example of a random flop:
    Q♣ 3♣ Q♥
I could come up with a few more examples if you like.

The cards are dealt to keep people playing and eventually evenly distribute good cards around the whole table which in turn keeps the companies cashing in on the rakes. I would not play online.

The cards are randomly generated at Ultimate Bet. The sheer volume of hands that you play online vs. live is the reason it may seem setup to you. I've taken my share of 1-2 outers both online and live. Keep in mind that you'd have to play about 3 hours of live cards to equal the amount of hands that you'd see on one table in a single hour online. Obviously in both, there are going to be flops that generate action. The reason it seems so often online, is because you are seeing so many hands so quickly.

Sorry to say it but the monkey hit the nail on the head. You play so many hands and if you multi table play way way more hands than you can ever see live. I play a lot of on line poker and have stats from over 100k in hands that all fall within statistical deviation. Yes my AA has been beaten yes my KK ran into AA. I love all this tin foil hat discussion. Now in my next life I"m going to get kidnapped by aliens and taken aboard a UFO.

I'm sorry but these last two posts could not be further from the truth. I really wonder about people who say online poker is legitimate. I played many many hours of hold em in a live casino so I know what i'm talking about when I say that online poker is an absolute sham. I've played at pokerstars, bodog, and ultimate bet. Ultimatebet has been the worst of all. Unlike the other two sites, I'm actually up a small amout at ultimate now, but I can tell without doubt that the cards are not random. Anyone who uses the argument that you play more hands online and therefore have more bad beats is in my opinion a mindless moron rechurning the same crap from execs at these sham companies. Its not even about bad beats. Its about getting hole cards that are playable 9 out of 10 hands (ex pocket pairs, high suited connectors). To those who support online poker - Get your head out of your rear and stop promiting this joke.

I wish I got 9 out of 10 hands playable on line. That would be great. The truth is you don't. I get 7 2 offsuit, I get j 3 suited, I get 33 and don't flop a set or don't even see a flop due to the betting before me.

Maybe you should have been me at the last casino tourney I played in where I flop top set, dude flops middle set I had KK he had QQ then turns quads on me. Live poker is rigged I say.

All I can say is if you feel your not getting a fair shake, don't play. I will never convince you otherwise. And BTW I'm not promoting it I just don't think the big sites (stars, party, full tilt ) are rigged.

No wonder you're losing money if you're playing 9 out of every 10 hands.

If you believe a particular poker site is dealing nonrandom cards then I invite you to a gather a large sample of its flops/hole cards/whatever, which I'd then be happy to analyze for randomness.

What is your Stars username? If you play 9/10 hands then I want to join your table.

Officially one of the funniest posts I've ever seen; excluding JJ's posts of course. Had me in stitches

Speaking of poker terms, when did kids start saying "donkey" or "donk" when they're angry? The guy above made me think of that. "Oh you got me really upset now buddy, you're nothing but a donk in my book." That has to be the nerdiest thing I've ever heard of. We either said things 100 times worse or didn't say anything at all.

Come to think of it, maybe it's better kids relieve their stress by coming up with cutesy ways of calling one another animals as opposed to how people would handle their aggression in the backrooms of AmVets and the like. Gotta love these kids born and raised online....

Yeah all these online poker sites are completely unregulated, rogue enterprises. Their random card generating algorithms are never inspected. And there is at least one "site worker" at every table who clicks the "I Win" button on his client every time he plays a hand against you!! Please.

By the way, it makes no business sense whatsoever for any of the above to be true. These sites want players to enjoy their experience and return as patrons. The more you play there, the more money they make in rake. What kind of idiot would try to cut your heart out for blood when they can just give you paper cuts time after time.

Who ever said I play 9 out of 10 hands? I just said 9 out of 10 hands are playable. Maybe thats an exageration. But trust me, you get a hell of a lot more playable hands online. Undoubtedly. If you've actually played enough live you will tell the difference. Its not even close. Whenever I read posts about this subject there are always at least a couple of supporters of this online poker crap. For those of you, the first step to financial recovery is admitting that you made a mistake playing on the internet. Its ok though. Use the experience to strengthen your game. Anyway, good luck.

I dont know about you, but theres no way in hell 9 out of ten hands are playable. If you say that just for the cards' value then maybe so but there are so many variables that you HAVE to take into consideration, such as table position, and preflop raises. If I have 10h 9d that might be a playable hand if I am big blind and I am only calling. But if I am short stacked and first to go on a 9 seater, theres no way in hell I pay in. Its all relative dude. Situational awarenesss will save you cash in the end. Any hand is playable - but should you really be playing that hand?

The key for Poker houses is to keep players in the game and only way to accomplish that is to evely distribute good cards around the table throughout a 24hr period.

The random distribution of cards will ensure everyone over the long haul will get good cards. You will Average AA once in 220 hands but that doesn't mean you can't or won't get it twice in 6 hands. I play a lot of live hands and I have played a lot on the net. I am a winning player at both but as I said before if you honestly believe on line is rigged don't play. If you don't believe that card manipulation happens in "friendly home games" your mistaken. I've caught cheaters at home games held at friends houses. On line every time AA gets beat it's that always happens at (name your poker room). If you play no fold'em holdem your AA will only win about 35% of the time so be thankful people fold to your raises. Otherwise your AA would be taking a bigger kicking than you already believe.

The Poker sites don't cheat...THose are claims made by long term losers. Everyone runs hot and cold. I have had worse bad beats in succesive hands live than ever online.

If you play at Pokerstars, check the higher-limit tables. Almost always familiar faces playing there because they are long term winners.

I won 40K last week and then lost 25K in a day....that is part of Poker
