I don't know how it is in other states, but here in Tennessee when the authorities are called for domestic violence someone is going to jail no matter what. You may not be charged with anything but someone is leaving the premises. They passed this law a couple years ago.

What's funny is a few years back when I was younger I had cops come to my apartment for domestic violence twice with 2 different chicks and I have never hit a girl. One of them was like something you would see in a movie, the chain of events through the evening that led to this was hilarious. Somehow I didn't go to jail but my girl was passed out cold so she couldn't tell them nothing was going on. Real fuked up stuff!
