The bottom line is that Vegas is no place for someone under the age of 18 to visit. If your significant other doesn't understand that, you need to be the positive parent figure.

It is absolutely unavoidable to expose the kid to really innapropriate material if you take him. That will have long reaching effects on his mentality and I have a feeling having the single parent history will feed right into it.

There are things to do in Vegas with an 11 year old, but it will not be the same for you if this is the 1st time you've been to Vegas. Depends when you go, there's the pool, Hoover Dam, shows. Also places like Gameworks, things to do at Excalibur, Circus Circus, and the Statsosphere for example. If I were you when the kid goes to bed, you get some time out on your owe to do some gambling. Otherwise, it would be better to go to Orlando with an 11 year old.

Yea work a deal. Take them to Disney which YOU will have a blast too. (a lot more fun than Vegas imo) Then come to the SBR bash in August. (which saves you a bunch of cash cause SBR pays for the rooms, meals, booze and entertainment)

I took my 5 year old and 17 year old to Circus Circus. The 5 year old loved it but the 17 year old was giving me the Shaq eye. But I think most 11 year olds will very much enjoy Circus Circus.
