Let me know when someone sees this come out at a B book or higher.
If I can get USC at somewhere near 4-1 I'm all over that. |

LSU is going undefeated until the SEC Championship, which they should win ... the team they play in the NC is up for debate. I like FSU, WVU (will likely be at least a TD favorite in every game), or Oklahoma as the team they play.
I'll be shocked if USC goes better than 10-2. Nebraska should beat them pretty easily, Oregon will beat them, and Cal, ND, or UW will get a win against them as well. |

Plus Michigan has a cupcake schedule. So if they don't go undefeated, they don't deserve any type of a title shot.
Michigan schedule September 1 Appalachian State September 8 Oregon September 15 Notre Dame September 22 Penn State September 29 at Northwestern October 6 Eastern Michigan October 13 Purdue October 20 at Illinois October 27 Minnesota November 3 at Michigan State November 10 at Wisconsin November 17 Ohio State |

The series history says ND will beat Michigan this year, I say Illinois will beat Michigan this year, and the schedule says they'll lose one of their November games.

No chance ND goes into the Big House and beats Michigan this year. Illinois is much improved, but I still don't think they're capable of beating the elite teams in the Big Ten. The game Nov. 10 @ Wisconsin will be for the conference title and, in Michigan's case, a spot in the NC game. UM is NOT losing to OSU this year. |

I grew up a Big Ten fan and think Michigan might well go undefeated in it, but the ONLY reason you could play Michigan for the championship would be for hedging purposes (or perhaps praying they play WVU or Louisville). In all reality the Big Ten is a complete joke compared to the SEC, and it always has been. The winner of the Big Ten this year would probably be #7 or #8 in the SEC. I think there are several reasons for this and understand my comments could be construed as demeaning, but as a capper I call 'em as I see 'em with complete neutrality....

I think Mighigan loses one of it's final 3 games.
Nov. 3 at Michigan State Nov. 10 at Wisconsin Nov. 17 Ohio State tough stretch there, but they'll be a good team this year |

Michigan will be a joke. You don't lose your line to the draft and make up that ground in 1 offseason. Also remember Lloyd Carr is still your HC.

Look at their schedule. They were the best team in the country last year, but because of the schedule lost two games. This year they are about the 6th best team in the country, and because of the schedule will almost certainly go undefeated unless they lose to Alabama.

Here are teams that can beat LSU that are on their schedule this year: South Carolina, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, and Auburn are all teams that are very capable of beating LSU. South Carolina could win the SEC east this year and if they do that mark my words they will win the SEC championship and the Sugar Bowl. On a side note, there are 4 SEC East teams that could end up in the top 10 once the year is done. Next year all 4 of those teams will be even better. Last edited by WileOut; 06-24-07 at 10:56 PM.. |

LSU will beat every other team by double digits. I'm (as far as I know) the only Auburn fan on this forum. I'd make the early line LSU -16, and even at that number could only play LSU. LSU plays all the other teams you mentioned, as well as VT, at home. Baton Rouge is the toughest place for a visiting team to play a night game. South Carolina is average - you can't win in Baton Rouge with both an inferior offense and inferior defense. Arkansas couldn't stop LSU last year at home, the defense got much worse, not sure how anything will be different in Baton Rouge. Florida isn't even close to as good as LSU, they'll lose by at least two touchdowns. |

USC at 2.5-1?? Hard to get excited about that.
They will not lose regular season but who knows about the championship game. Not much you can do with that line. |

That line is absolutely laughable. You'd have to be clinically insane to play it. They are at Nebraska, Oregon, Arizona St, and Cal. Sure they'll be favored in all four, but a loss in one or two of those roadies certainly isn't out of the question.

And two years ago an LSU team that is nowhere near as good as the one they will field this fall beat Florida at home despite having a -5 TO margin. Now that the choke artist is out of the way, this will be a much better team against its premier opponents, and they have all of them at home except one.

Even Texas beat the "Unbeatable" Trojans as a 2.5 to 1 dog in the 05-06 season.
I guess its too chalky. Maybe a prop thats worded "Odds that USC MAKES IT to the BCS Championship game". That ought to be good and chalky too but at least that eliminates the BCS game. |

Absolutely. They are comparable once again this year. Obviously that CAN translate into a multiple touchdown win, but I wouldn't say that is the most likely scenario. Florida will be starting the only quarterback that LSU could not stop last year.
