sammy i agree this is a wild prop.

rm, which is a good bet??

I have looked in to this prop, because I thought it seemed like a gimme.

Unlike 80% of the world I'm not totally convinced there will be 15 points scored per quarter in this years SB.

I saw SHAQS numbers vs the NYK when they previously played a few months back. It was bad. In fact, ONEAL had one of his worst performances this season at the garden that game. However, if you've been watching the cavs lately you may notice SHAQ has been performing better. Almost like he decided to get his s_hit together and stop being an old ass sack of crap.

Plus, ONEAL is at home and I calculate most of ONEALS playing time will be when the starters are out (like most of the 2nd Q)-- hence, more rebounds and more points.

The downfall to this cross sport prop is the 1st Q could end with a team in the red zone or on the 1yd line, and the 2Q take 5 seconds for a 7 pt score...

I guess it depends if youre one of those guys that expects to see 2 TDs++ in the 2nd, otherwise SHAQ is backing the money truck up.

Oh I meant Shaq was a good bet, he has been playing better lately, Cavs have injuries to other scorers, and KNicks are undersized.

Where'd you find this? Cross-sport props are some of the easiest.

Knicks are a run and gun team who play David Lee at center. Shaq will get little to no playing time against them. He can't keep up with their pick and roll or going up and down the court. He might not even play in the second quarter.

Shaq is putting up big numbers playing under 25 minutes a game recently, he still is much faster than Ilgauskas, and with Mo Williams and Delonte West out they need him more as a second option to run the offense through. Run and gun should give him more boards as well.

They will probably play Varejao at center. Even with those guys out, Shaq is still a bad 2nd option at this point, especially for the Cavs. When they pound the ball into him he slows down their offense and doesn't allow them to get into a rhythm.

    I appreciate your guys feedback

I think what it all boils down to is how much are the COLTS/SAINTS going to score the 2Q?

If its less than 14... I mean, how could you not take a chance on that? Weather or not SHAQ can hustle up and down the court on D shouldn't have much to do with him having the time to get set on offense should it? Even a 6 point 4 board game is a TD and a FG, and that would be a s_hit game for SHAQ compared to how he's been playing recently.

Where did you get that prop at? I want to get on it. I see shaq only totaling about 10 on that prop.

Shaq won't have more than 12, so if you think the 2nd Q of the football game will produce 14, do it up

Shaq shot 65% from the field in January, that is very impressive, the only thing that would work against him I think is a blowout win and he might only play like 6 minutes in the 2nd half, but still think he would get 18 which should be enough.

That % really doesn't mean anything. He's always shot a high percentage. Now, with the Cavs, he only shoots from within 2 feet, so it's hard to miss many.
Shaq only played 19 minutes in the first game against the Knicks.

But like anything else, this one could go either way. So GL with your bet man.

Fine fellas, I will reveal the location of this prop.

    it's jazzy.

I know, I know. Jazzy books is like sleeping with your sister. Sure you get paid, but you just feel like you've been cheated.

I don't recommend playing with jazzy, but years ago when I first started this sickness known as capping, a jazzy book was my first account. I can't go on the record saying they will pay you if you win, but they've always paid me.

He was shooting about 50% after 20 something games, he is scoring the ball better, I feel like the linesmakers are just looking at his averages for the season and not at Shaq scoring the ball better and getting more touches. He has got at least 17 in 9 straight games now many of those games with very low minutes.

You're exactly right. But he's playing the Knicks and i think he'll play even less minutes then usual and be ineffective. It's just a terrible matchup defensively for shaq. The knicks will be playing David Lee at center no matter what.

I think perhaps the oddsmakers for this prop are assuming the public perception is a 70 point SB so they throw a crazy ass prop out there for the 2Q

For some reason i keep thinking that this is a 2nd quarter Shaq vs. 2nd quarter super bowl bet. When you really think about it though, it would be stupid to put much money on this either way. Not b/c it's hard to tell what shaq will do, but to predict the 2nd quarter of the super bowl is going to be tough.

    1) SHAQ ONEAL: 19pts, 1 board = -.5 (19.5)

    2) SAINTS/COLTS total 2nd Q points = +.5 (???)
