It might have taken a flight to heaven. In some cases it's fixable..

As they said it might be dead. If not go flip your breaker off then on again. Then unplug all the wires and plug them back in. Sometimes that works.

Important Bobby, unplug the TV before you flip the breakers.

Is it a flat screen HD? if so, your power supply unit might have went bad. If you open up the back of your television, there will be a circuit board that the power cord is connected into, that's the board that went bad. You would probably only have to unhook a few connection plugs that hook it up to other circuits, and then unscrew a few screws to take it out. After that, if you google model of television and "power supply unit", you could get another one on your own and replace it yourself. It will save you a couple hundred bucks from taking it to someone.

Simple troubleshooting steps you may have overlooked:

- try plugging TV directly into wall rather than through power bar
- try leaving unplugged overnight and then try plugging into different socket [this once worked for me]
- if there's a power button, try holding it down for a certain period of time both unplugged and plugged in

Obviously next step is to call toshiba tech support

All the best,
mathdotcom

This happened to a plasma TV I had a few years back and this is a SOLID POST... He's right that's very likely what happend and you can save money by doing it yourself but you better know what you are doing to some degree or take it in and spend the money...
