SBR to launch sportsbook TOS monitor
SBR's new program will automatically scan all sportsbook wagering rules and general terms of service pages and then report all rule changes and updates made by the sportsbook. The feature is designed to prevent and help with disputes where a player with a complaint claims the bookmaker's rules have been altered to put it in a better position, and to give both sportsbooks and players the ability to view the most complete and transparent poilcies. Players will also be able to sign up for email alerts and see all changes made to his/her book's rules.

this seems like a pretty complicated task...i don't think you can easily grab and parse the rules as suppose to the lines. but no doubt this will be a useful tool.

This will really protect players rights against those uncalled for confiscations.

Unfortunately it is going to start this week when the program is launched. We need to populate the program with about 1200 web pages and then it will begin reporting. It won't display changes until the rules page has been added. You will be able to see rules archives every two weeks. The changes from the previous scan will be color coded like a cached Google page.

Sportsbooks don't want to bother players with updates to every little rule or TOS change and players can't be expected to read a novel every two weeks for each book they use. So, this should fill a need. Not to mention, it should prevent the switcharoos some of the sportsbooks have tried to pull as well as give the player peace of mind when a book cites an unfamiliar rule.
