Are all you guys bashing 45k highly educated individuals????
Are you 40 somethings who have been working for 20+ years??
    I just dont get it.
I'm in my mid 20's, still working on school and currently seeking full-time employment (Made more than 45k for 3 years in Real Estate b4 the market dried up on me) and I cant find anyone to pay me 45k+ right now.
Glad to hear all you guys excelling in this depression but just remember theres a lot of people out there doing it on a lot less than 45k.

this is just proving my point. you people have no bearing or clue of a lower class of people who have to live at 20 and 30k per year. and these people probably have to work twice as hard as vegas D. 45k USD to this guy is very generous.

Where I live 45k is considered a real good salary. I don't know the details of VD's situation. If he's right out of school that's a great salary for your first job. What did he do for SBR? Do they require anything out of you that ups your expenses. Where does he live?

I know people that bust their balls 72 hours a week for alot less than 45K!

The key is its all relative. Maybe it wasnt worth it because he had to locate to texas. I am not sure what prices are like in texas but 45k is around what I make but it isnt easy to live on. I live in an overpriced apt which is 925 with heat and hot water then I got cell and cable and car expenses. I tend to buy stuff i dont necessarily NEED but why do all this hard work and not be able to enjoy it. Thats not a great life.

Anyway I am drifting from the topic. I know for a fact 45k is jack shit in NY but in texas it could be what 90k in NY is. I personally am not sure if it was worth it if the guy had to relocate AND devote all his time to this forum

The job was rural Texas. His job was to make videos and write articles about sports. I'm not a journalist but I don't think it was rocket science.

45k outside of school all depends what he got a degree in. if it's like one of those joke majors like journalism or like greek mythology then its good but if it's in an engineering field then simply....AYE PAPI

what he did woulda been a MONEY job while IN college and wish i had it. it's barely time consuming and not hard

45k is considered a well payed job over here in general and most people I knew before college were and are making around 35k a year. If 45k its jack shit or a solid income thats only for your self to decide, since we all live different with different valuations.

I totally support and back people talking down on lazy ones with shit for brains, they deserve it. What I don't like is when people talk down and think they're so much better then the rest just because they make some extra bucks each month.

I mean come on here, a bet for $1000 or a bet for $10 should have the same respect. Don't think the 1000 dollar bettor started at that nor is the 10 dollar bettor gonna finish at that amount, therefor encourage the small bettor more instead of telling him to piss off!

I would bet that if SBR offered a Job for 20k a year to Moderate the Board and make videos, a lot of guys would apply. Ha , classic! La tuya guey !

Guys he was getting paid $45k to do what we all do for free

Look around at the unemployment, economy, etc. He was well compensated IMO for what he was doing.

I'd say Dave was doing okay as a guy in his early twenties.

Here near Stlouis you can get a nice place for $700. No blacks.

A single guy can live nice and save some $$$ with a 45K yearly salary. My son is in Kansas City. Just got transferred from Wichita. His apartment was super nice for $675. He makes 35K and he's 22yo. He told me he has 6k in the bank and its been exactly 1 year this March when he got a promotion. So he saved 6k in one year. But his car is paid for and he doesnt drink or smoke.

$45K is enough to live off of for sure, but you can't have much fun...

45K in a dead end job is not much. No incentives. Sure you can rent a crappy roach infested apartment, drive a beat up truck and wait for the day you die if that is what gets you off in life.

Pavy, very solid post. WHY CHOOSE THIS WHEN DAVE COULD PROBABLY LAND SOMETHING BETTER.

It's one thing if the guy was allowed to do something else when he was employed for SBR but wasn't.

Gotta remember, when VD took the job, he loved SBR.. 45K for a job you love or 60K for a job you hate?. I'd settle for 45 over 60 myself.. I'm sure VD thought about this before accecpting.. Is extra cash worth it if your life is misrable?. Also remember, when he took the job, he was planning on staying a while.. Didn't know at the time how things would play out.. I think thats why he chose SBR..
