Default Can someone help me with this matchbook question?

Do they charge 2 percent commission on wins or win/loss bets?

If you win a wager, do they use the credits you gain when you make a deposit? or do they only use part of it? The reason I ask is that it appears they are deducting profits (2per cent) and using the commision credits i gained when i deposited at the same time.

Are they in the wrong or am i missing something?

Commissions are collected on a "net win per market" basis. A "market" is defined as a single tradable outcome on an event; hence, a single game/event may be linked to two or more individual markets. For commission purposes, net losses in one market on an event do not offset net wins in another market on the same event.

They deduct 2% from all net market wins, then apply the commission credits to give it back until they run out.

They take 2% off your wins. They'll use up your commission credits first.

But i looked at my reports in the report section, and they have used my commission credits and also charged me commision(re my winnings were shaved by 2 percent)...essentially i am getting a double whammy.

plus i still have commision credits lefts....whats the point of haveing credits if they deduct another charge on the wins?

i always thought the market makers are charged the 2%...so if you post rangers -134, they post your odds as -136.

this is what my friend told me...they lost my wire so i was never able to use matchbook

No that's not the case pico.

Re: The Original problem, I'd guess the OP is misreading the format of the report, as both will show on the transaction history, one as a debit and one as a credit.

I assumed i was misreading it too, maybe am, but here s an example of a small bet i made..

I took Colorado last nite at +1.5, to win 40. Checking the report my profit is listed as 39.20(charge of.8) and they charged commision credits which is missing.

So isnt that a double charge?

Take a screenshot of what your statement says for that bet.

You should have had your account go up by 40, and lost .8 from your commission credits.

All is well. Got off the phone with the matchbook rep.

I read the report section correctly, so it did appear I was getting double dinged. But when the rep pulled up every transaction, she said I was getting credit for commision, it just wasnt showing up like one would expect.

Initially very confusing, but customer service saves the day.

A lot of books get negative comments, impressed with the customer service reps patience in explaining it to me..
