Lightbulb SBR How Do You Have Bodog In The As???

I've brought this up in other threads, but have decided to start a new one up to question this one. I was reading on another forum's gaming section about a poster who really needs his money and has been getting the run around for close to two months, and what did he give as his excuse for playing there? You guys having them as an A.

BoDog is excellent in affiliate payouts and we all know cash is king, but the problem with having them even in the Bs is that it skews the validity of all of the ratings that you work so hard to set right and monitor. Having them anywhere in the As is absurd and we all know it. It sticks out even moreso because they are one of the more recognizable books to small time players due to previous marketing efforts.

This is the only bone I've had to pick with the ratings system and this site in general for quite sometime. The more players who are directed that way and burned, the fewer players who will return and the more the entire industry is harmed. I can't see one "B" rated book that is worse than Bodog. Obviously most of the regulars here are aware of the situation as they only received one vote in the polls (and few would play there previously due to such small limits and poor lines on major sports), but Joe Public who comes to this site, clicks on the front page ratings, selects Bodog, and is subsequently put through the fire for a two dime payout is very apt to not want to comeback.

Again cash is king and one anomoly takes very little away from this site's credibility, but we all know that there is one book sticks out like a sore thumb being listed in the As. Cheers...

Tough issues these days. Bodog is still paying international players without problems. This is a processing problem. When WSEX had a problem we did not drop them. Even books like Sportsbook.com were not lowered. Not yet anyway.

Books that try to hide behind the processing excuse like Cascade were lowered.

The processing issue will be resolved. As of now, we are not downgrading books due to this issue. They have the funds and are trying many solutions to get the funds to their players.

However, customer service should be fair game as a category to sharpen ratings now. Bodog customer service which is normally excellent has been worn down. Bodog management, also very good, needs to reinvigorate themselves and their staff.

We have tried to be consistent since post-Neteller. When other highly regarded books went through this we monitored the situation to see if they worked through it. Other ratings like that of Sportsbook.com remain unchanged (although they were a book that could make a player wait two months without a processor problem). Players and SBR expected Bodog to get back on its feet faster than it did and, although they list one month on the site, we still expect that to be improved.
We monitored Bodog through May and issued the downgrade from A+. There are still some requests from late April. This should be the end of the largest delayed batch of payouts.

Guys I really appreciate all that you do and taking the time to respond, and also understand that a lot of people's hands are tied behind their backs for a multitude of reasons regarding Bodog. I do not, however, believe that this processing issue is an adequate excuse for what all has transpired. Every single book that you have both above them and an entire letter below them is paying substantially faster, and is taking every step possible to ensure that their quality hasn't gone down in the meantime.

These lags of over two months are simply unacceptable. Are the payment processors to blame as well for taking two weeks for ** payouts when even every A- book takes 48 hours tops? Bodog is not even in VIP's (even with their cutoffs), Gameday's, Canbet's, Bet19's, Wagerstreet's, or Victor Chandler's league, but yet is higher than all of them. You know what I'm saying is 100% accurate.

I love how their obvious decline in service, customer regard, player reassurance in these times, and anything else that speaks to the quality of a sportsbook have gone to absolute shit, but its OK because Neteller and the US government has caused all of this (even when all these other books are working their asses off to keep the industry and player relations strong). I've said before I think you were too slow to drop Cascade due to personal relationships with Lenny (dropping them to just a B+ when the shit was hitting the fan just didn't suffice), and having Bodog even being in the As is simply unacceptable.

If you're going to allow one book to use a crutch while all other books are expected to continue to work hard for the player, then I think it is time to see about 30 superior run and substantially harder working books all receive an upgrade to A+ to keep the ratings in order (an A+ should beat an A, an A should beat an A-, etc.)....

    Default Bodog

I recently hit the progressive on carribean stud on bodog. It paid out 30,300. I cashed out 27,000 about a week ago. Do you think I will get the money and the check will not bounce. I have never cashed out from them before.

    Thanks,

how come the greek do not have the same problems as bodog? even 5dimes takes only a week for them to send you a check. why does bodog need 20 days (i think it is more 20+)?

is it because bodog has a caino and a poker site? maybe they're trying to do too much with too little resource.

Carter you'll get paid, but it won't be this month. You hit that at any of the legitimate B+ and above books on here and you'd be paid by now. GL and congrats...

Pico there are plenty of books getting checks and wires to customers within five days and **'s within 48 hours that have casinos and poker along with a sportsbook. Bodog's internal standards have slipped so far in my opinion it is ridiculous, and I think their lack of customer care concerns more than just US customes too by the way. I don't have to spell out why they continue to get a pass...

I was one of those guys who came to SBR for help finding another book after 6 exclusive, good years with Sportsbook.com (no kidding). Because of Bodog's stellar A+ rating on SBR, I chose them over all others to deposit my funds. It took approx 10 days for my wire (checking account DC) deposit to go through, so I was a little worried from the get go. Then a few weeks later I made a withdrawal request for check by mail and it took 6 weeks to receive it. Bodog officially said in email that it would take less than 10 business days. It felt like Dejavu all over again. I withdrew all my $$ after only 2 months playing with them. I then followed SBR PLAYERS' advice (along with SBR's ratings) and deposited with Betjam and Matchbook. Payments (checks mind you) have been received like clockwork within 2-4 business days. So in the end, I'm really glad I came to SBR for advice, but it would've been a lot easier if Bodog wasn't rated so high.

Good point, Abacus. Players can and will react much faster to crisis situations. I would prefer SBR to be as mercurial, but suspect SBR has to maintain a longterm personal relationship with management of books.

SBR's advice is priceless, but what players do with it could be even more valuable. As to Bodog, if they still haven't resolved payment issues they're simply not focused enough on the problem and should be downgraded to the B books; at least in this player's mind.

    Big...
Thanks for bringing up a great point about the rating system here at SBR...

I never really took SBR ratings as vaild...IMO

They are ad driven and if the book has paid enough for those ads then of course they receive a better grade. Do you think that Bodogs check to SBR for advertising has ever been delayed...or bounced??? I doubt it...and I am assuming that the ad revenue was pre-paid. I really dont have a problem w/ books that they rate D or D-....like for instance SBG Global. I have been w/ them for over 10+ years and have never been stiffed or cheated out of $$. If I ever made a wrong selection on a wager I would call right away and they would let me change it. My largest WD was 35k back in November...I have been at therx.com for over 5 years posting over there and have yet to see a poster complain that they got stiffed from SBG (unless it was an obviouse line error and the player was hoping that SBG didnt catch the error)....but here at SBR they are as low as dirt. While BOS and others have taken the $$ and run...SBG is still booking bets and paying people.

Sorry BigBollocks...dint mean to hijack your thread. But BoDog is not on the up and up about the processor..thats BS. Are they so big that they cant pay people in less than a week?? Hogwash...BoDog is an accident waiting to happen...and when it does SBG will still be around....LOL

Glad to know that you know how to count....from the look of you avatar you seem like you skipped math in school.

Again to make 9 in 39...lets do it again..

SBG d- ...get a payout in less than 48 hours
BoDog a+...get a payout in 6 weeks ...oh thats 1008 hours for those that know how to count

BTW I have over 10,480+ posts at therx.com and maybe 200 of those posts have a mention of SBG...so dont even go there

You keep shilling for the BoDogs out there and lead those sheep to slaughter

The one thing I have learned is that every player is different when it comes to selecting a book.

Some of the legacy books like SBG and Intertops have a loyal following. Many of their players really enjoy those books and have never had any problems.

Its almost like choosing a car. Some are much better like a Lexus. But plenty drive Kia's right?

We base our ratings on a subjective set of values based on feedback and direct knowledge of the operation. Thats why we call it a guide as in the SBR Rating Guide.

the problem is that i have not heard a single positive post about bodog since i signed up on this forum...does that tell you something?

the two largest thread on this forum are, #1 sportsbook.com withdraw delay and #2 bodog slow payouts. sb.com is D+ and bodog is still A. it doesn't seem to fair to rate sb.com so low. if you're going to rate bodog A, then sb.com should get at least a B+.

Nope.. I was a lurker at that time and really didnt pay much attention to threads other than the picks and try to ride a hot capper. They had some good ones back then...not these wanna be's that frequent these boards and post the $10k play of the day or that they just won that amount and post the play after the game has started. But all I can say is that I have been there awhile and never had a problem. When I did start posting Shrink was there but I never did read about what really happened...if you have a link to the story I wouldn't mind reading that.

Guys I could really care less if you hate SBG...but again the title of this thread was....SBR How Do You Have Bodog In The As???

That's your opinion and I respect it but you are dead wrong. Sportsbook.com was doing this well before the processing woes started. We just got a player paid $20k on a simple 1 year old dispute with SB. You play at SB.com you are simply playing sportsbook russian roulette.

    SBRJohn,

You ought to bring those having problems like this down to a lower level than the ones that don't have a problem currently like BetJamiaca and The Greek which is very quick about payouts. Maybe you ought to put the ones with the very best at payouts a A+ and those other ones that are having the problems at an A until they get them resolved then put them at an A+ when that is done.
