I wish they would but I doubt they ever will again. Unless the law reverts back to the old ways.

My sources tell me this could be sooner rather than later...

Beginning of football season may be a little too soon, but we could see something by Jan.

I hope. Need a new Neteller along with it

That would be awesome, but I won't get my hopes up. For now, there are a few books that are surprisingly filling in nicely.

    NEVER.

Remember that Pinnacle's problems with the US had nothing to do with the gamblng bill, but rather they were strongarmed for using runners on US soil. If not for that, they would still be king in US to this day, as they would have kept on serving US ala Greek, CRIS/Bookmaker, WSEX, etc...

LT, how sure are you about that?

I heard from several reliable sources that the owner of Pinnacle had a beachfront home on the California coast, and was told by the DOJ that if he ever wanted to visit again and avoid arrest, he had better pull out of the US market.

Perhaps it is some combination of your reason and the one I've stated here.

They were far and away the most popular book for US players, and this made them an obvious target, imo.

i read the piece pags posted and I don't understand why the DOJ would give Pinny an option to shutdown or face charges. I think they would just bust them like they have others. Why would they get special treatment?

I have no clue but maybe they greased the right wheel or something? Then again I think pinnacle will be letting back US players come next Monday... we will see how much weight my speculation has...

Not in the next ten years.

Neteller re-entering the US market is more important than Pinnacle re-entering the US market. The problem isn't the shortage of good books willing to service US bettors but the reliable transfer of funds to and from books.

Neteller(or anything remotely resembling it)will never re-enter the US market unless it's tied to a political solution that benefit$ the US government.
It's also unrealistic to think that enough time could pass and Govt indifference set in that we could go back to pre UIGEA days, and a new processor would step in.

There are at least a handful of other offshore joints who are employing agents in the U.S. right now, and I'm sure the DOJ knows about it. Why are those offshores not being strong-armed by the DOJ like Pinnacle was?

I believe the only way to strong-arm an offshore who is outside of U.S. jurisdiction, is if the owner(s) want to visit the U.S. and be left alone. I believe that is the case here -- that the Pinnacle owner (I know his name but won't say it) has a home on the Coast of California, and wanted to left alone to come visit his family.

Pinnacle was BY FAR the most popular book for U.S. players, so they were an obvious target to strong-arm, but the strong-arming was only made possible because the owner wants to visit the U.S. from time to time.

This is the most viable explanation in my mind.

The agents story is not enough to scare someone away who is out of U.S. jurisdiction.

Strange thing is Pinnacle is not even missed with usa bettors anymore because of Matchbook.

They are open to US players. You just have to be a little creative when it comes to depositing and withdrawing.

Why would they? No need to get involved with the US and all the problems it brings..they have a large enough client base and it will stay that way unless US legalizes gambling

It is absolutely amazing that it has been 4+ years since we lost Pinnacle. We thought life was over but I can't complain about some of the other good books out there
