    It's a puzzle.

The goal is to figure out the answer.

Giood luck. Just remember to think laterally.

Despite the prevalence of numbers in the puzzle, this is not a math-y problem is the least.

That one was a lot fun Ganch. I had a feeling that smile intro wasn't for nothing. I'm starting to realize you've got to look from A LOT of angles on these things. I was adding, subtracting, taking square roots, etc. at first lol. Now I've got to figure out how to tell everyone why I'm tired all day tomorrow

Thanks Ganch, extremely clever again . It took me until #4 to begin to see a common theme. How you came up with some of those I'll have to inquire on later...

IMGV, as Ganch said there is absolutely no math involved in this one whatsoever. As a matter of fact, a site such as XaXXXXsX might help to meet your needs far more than say an online calculator

Solved by picoman on Tue Jun 12 at 10:45:45.

    picoman's Fortune:
A doctor, an architect, and a computer scientist were arguing
about whose profession was the oldest. In the course of their
arguments, they got all the way back to the Garden of Eden, whereupon
the doctor said, "The medical profession is clearly the oldest, because
Eve was made from Adam's rib, as the story goes, and that was a simply
    incredible surgical feat."
The architect did not agree. He said, "But if you look at the
Garden itself, in the beginning there was chaos and void, and out of
that, the Garden and the world were created. So God must have been an
    architect."
The computer scientist, who had listened to all of this said,
"Yes, but where do you think the chaos came from?"

#2,#3,#4 was obvious. #1 was pretty good hint, but it does not make the direct assocaition as the others. now i am a bit confused why you put #5, #6? maybe i am not as sophiscated as you

Numbers 5 and 6 are both associated with the same item as all the rest.

#3 is probably the least applicable, but that one was supposed to be a joke.

ganchrow, once everyone figured out the answers, you need to explain why #5,6 are in there...i don't see how they're associated.

#3 was funny...since i am not an aficionado like you, i thought it is one of those french brands.

Solved by ivanator on Tue Jun 12 at 15:10:48.

    ivanator's Fortune:
    MAFIA, n:
Acronym for Mechanized Applications in Forced Insurance
Accounting. An extensive network with many on-line and offshore
subsystems running under OS, DOS, and IOS. MAFIA documentation is
rather scanty, and the MAFIA sales office exhibits that testy
reluctance to bona fide inquiries which is the hallmark of so many DP
operations. From the little that has seeped out, it would appear that
    MAFIA operates under a non-standard protocol, OMERTA, a tight-lipped
variant of SNA, in which extended handshakes also perform complex
security functions. The known timesharing aspects of MAFIA point to a
more than usually autocratic operating system. Screen prompts carry an
imperative, nonrefusable weighting (most menus offer simple YES/YES
options, defaulting to YES) that precludes indifference or delay.
Uniquely, all editing under MAFIA is performed centrally, using a
powerful rubout feature capable of erasing files, filors, filees, and
    entire nodal aggravations.
