    Default Chargebacks?

If you deposited with a sportsbook that is stiffing you, what is the process to do a chargeback on your Credit/DC?

Do you tell the CC company that you gambled, won, and they won't pay you? That you have an addiction to gambling?

What is the best method for those people who are getting stiffed?

ask yourself, do you ever plan to use those sportsbook again? (that and all affliated sportsbooks) you'll be blacklisted, so if your chargeback is large enough, might be a good thing to do.

most ************ and debit cards find you 0% liable for unauthorized charges. Just tell them it was unauthorized and you get your money back. Sportsbooks cant really tell the CC company anything to get their $$ back

Well, I don't feel bad charging back when THEY owe ME over $15,000. I will tell the CC companies what they want to hear, I am just not sure what that is.

Its funny these places can process your deposits via CC or debit instantly, but SCREW you when you want to access your money.

If one of those shithole books wants to blacklist, be my guest. I would rather chargeback and get my money back than stay off an unimportant black list

But you swear by affadavit that you made the charges so you don't want to lie. Also, when you have depositsed thousands of dollars over a variety of weeks, hard to say they are unauthorized.

depends on how pissed that guy is. if he is willing to go kamakasi with the sportsbooks, then he can always come up with a story. i doubt he'll go to court over this.

Mockingboy I think you should ask a moderator first to try and contact the book to see if oyu can work something out, this is pasrt of the problem with the industry, people are so quick to chargeback, all your doing is hurting your own credit rating. Plus if you charge back all your wagers will be void, at least try to get your original deposit back first.

I think you can only chargeback for 60 days, but I'd try to get SBR involved first. What's the book's name?

It's been a long time ago when I had to do a chargeback from that Skytower mess. I remember when they started there slow pay stuff and they stopped making payments, and the book wanted me to sign an irrevocable type wavier before paying me (mind you I didn't realize it at the time that was standard procedure that I had to sign it, because I was being such a newbie to offshore gaming) I had to charge it back. I remember it was my first experience dealing with these types of problems, and it was right around the time when the government forced the CC companies to stop processing gaming transactions. So when I called up my CC company I had told them either it was services un-renderer or I didn't authorize the charges (can't remember been a long time).

Anyways as time went on I found out that signing the form was the right thing to do, but back then I didn't realize that, and nobody told me at the time that was a standard procedure ( being a newbie it's just hard to sign your rights away when they were in extremely slow pay/no pay type mode)

Anyways, after it was all said and done I think they owe me a little bit of coin, but I really can't remember exactly how much though. Hell, the last figure I remember seeing on the screen before they cut-off my website betting and forced me to call-in all my wagers was like 7 dimes range.

I want to thank everybody that help me with this mess way back when, otherwise it would have been a total loss.

One is Citibank Debit, the other is Chase.

What would you recommend I say and/or do?

If you have any history of getting paid by them, wire etc. Or any other sportbook, they will deny your claim.

I can't believe this thread has been allowed to stay up this long. A "How to scam the sportsbooks" thread by using CC farud. Just what the industry needs right now.

    Mason-

What are you smoking? How to scam sportsbooks? How about when you deposit thousands and thousands of dollars, and the sportsbook tries to stiff you?

How is that scamming a sportsbook. We all deposit our money with good will, basically have no legal recourse with these off-shore operators, and have to trust the fact they will pay us.

The only legal recourse we have, if we use CCs, is charging back.

    Please explain your position?

Tell them the truth. If you lie, there is a good chance they will out the truth, and then you might be in hot water.

I would try like hell with the sportsbook to get your original deposits back before doing a chargeback. If they owe you $15,000 and you are up $x amount and are willing to forfeit that winnings just to get your deposit back (which is what a chargeback will accomplish) maybe the sportsbook would be willing to do that. If they are in tough times and aren't intentionally withholding funds then you have a good shot. If they are just a scam book then a chargeback may be the way to go, but I certainly wouldn't be deceitful with the bank.

No, YOU deposited with good will, not ALL people deposit with good will and diagraming for people who have NOT been screwed by their sportsbook exactly how to defraud them seems like a bad idea to me. Just my opinion.
