A book is offering me to send me a ** payout for 3300$. I feel very uncomfortable going up to the ** agent and picking up the money. Anyone had any experiences with this?

Of course, and it couldn't be any easier. The last time I withdrew an amount over $5K I had them cut me five $1K checks (they couldn't do more than $1K at a time for some reason) and took cash on the rest.
It's not like the ** employees at WalMart or wherever could give a shit less. The lady where I go to even puts in fake addresses just to process it quicker. They handle transactions like yours all day, every day....

5k is a lot easier with wire
