    Exclamation NETELLER Announces Agreed Plan to Return US Customers’ Funds

    PRESS RELEASE

    Monday, 4 June 2007 – The NETELLER Plc Group (LSE: NLR), the independent global online payments business, today announced that it has agreed to a plan for the distribution of funds to its US customers.

    NETELLER is continuing to cooperate with the investigation being conducted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (“USAO”), under the advice of its legal advisers and in accordance with court orders in the Isle of Man. The Company is in discussions with the USAO for the purpose of resolving the investigation. The Company has advised the USAO that it will use its best efforts to resolve the investigation no later than 13 July 2007.

    On 21 March 2007, the Company announced that it signed agreements with the USAO and Navigant Consulting, Inc. (“Navigant”) with respect to, among other things, developing a plan for the distribution of funds to US customers. Since then, in accordance with the agreements, the Company has worked with the USAO and Navigant to develop the plan. The Distribution Plan is now agreed upon, and the Company anticipates implementing the plan upon the resolution of the investigation.

    The agreed Distribution Plan details the process and mechanisms for the return of funds to US customers. US customers will be able to access their NETELLER accounts online for a certain time and make a request for their funds. In accordance with NETELLER’s Terms of Use, no interest on account balances will be paid. NETELLER will not charge fees to customers to process requests for funds. Funds will be distributed either by ******************* to the bank account on record with NETELLER or by a cheque to be sent to a mailing address as confirmed by the customer. If a US customer has a bank account already registered with NETELLER, funds transfer will be by ******************* subject to confirmation by the customer that the registered bank account remains valid. US customers will receive the entire balance of funds in their account; no requests for partial payments will be processed. US customers cannot use their accounts for any transaction other than to request the funds.

    Further information will be communicated to NETELLER’s US customers via email, through our website and through a press release once the date for implementation of the Distribution Plan is finalised.

    Ron Martin, Group President and CEO said: “The agreement on the Distribution Plan represents a milestone in our cooperation with the US authorities. While we are disappointed not to have been able to return funds to our US customers at this point, we believe that the steps we have made in our discussions are significant and we hope to be able to announce further progress with the USAO by 13 July 2007.”

    The Company continues to work with Navigant to produce a report to the USAO on the Company’s current financial condition. On 8 February 2007, the Company informed the market that approximately US$ 55 million had been seized by the USAO or otherwise restricted by third parties. After ongoing consultation with the USAO, the Company currently believes this amount could be up to approximately US$ 60 million.

    The Company’s shares continue to be suspended from trading on AIM in view of the continuing uncertainties the Company faces although the Company is making progress towards achieving restoration of trading. The Company is also working towards the finalisation of its audited annual results for the year ended 31 December 2006 and will announce the date on which these will be published to the market in due course. NETELLER customers not resident in the US continue to be minimally affected by the withdrawal from the US market.

    They have know announced that they plan to make an announcement regarding the return of funds.

    The only thing of nto in this announcement was what was omitted. Namely that there was no mention of any type of tax forms that some feared would have to be signed before funds could be released

    The whole announcement sounds like a resolution and then in the end they take it all back by saying that they hope they can announce something in July. WTF.

    I hate to sound cynical, but I'll believe it when I see it. I think punters have gotten their hopes up way too many times already with Neteller with no results. Let's just hope this leads to a long-deserved breakthrough...

    I vaguely recall that the terms of use also said that Neteller would pay on demand. I don't recall Netller having the right to withhold funds indefinitely

    I think everyone needs to be reminded that it was NOT NETeller who wanted to have their funds seized

    It was NOT NETeller who DID NOT want to return funds to account holders.

    It was NOT NETeller that launched a war on Online Gambling

    So i really believe the American Punters need to thank their elected officials for these problems and STOP with the way out there, wild accusations and blaming everyone else.

    Like it or not. You put your government in Power, this has all been caused by them and NO ONE else. As such you have yourselves and your countrymen to thank for the situation.

    No not unique at all to the USA and it's Citizens, however they do seem to have mastered it better than any other country.

    One of the primary reasons USA & Her Citizens are more disliked around the world than at any other point in history.

    I think we should all give Netelelr a great round of applause. Look at this briliant plan. They will either send a check or an EFT. To think it only took them 75 days to come up with this ingenious plan. How many of us would have been able to come up with this plan. I guess that is why Ron Martin gets paid the big bucks. Us nitwits in forum world would never have thought of such a brilliant plan.

    Yea, seems like they are practicing the TD dance before they know what play is going to get them in the endzone. We just have to hope they know something about what's going to happen in the next 2 weeks that they can't talk about.

    I don't know if you're backing him up or putting him down iset, but Ricky's right on that one. Its actually shows possession, and it's (with the apostrophe) actually translates to "it is." It's certainly one of the more strange rules in the English language, as the apostrophe almost always signifies possession....

    Of course Ricky is right. Unless dumbfuuck really did mean to say "the USA and it is Citizens". Of course if he did mean to say that then his "sentence" doesn't really make much sense.

    Put the blame squarely on the US government.

    Neteller has no fault at all.

    If you had $55,000,000 stolen, you too would not send more until you had assurances no more would be taken.

    Personally, if I were neteller, I would tell the US gov to F off and continue my business but that is me.

    If I chose not to do that I sure as hell would not return $1 US dollar till I had 100% immunity and my $55mm back.

    I could not have put it better myself. The US Gov have screwed up some perfectly good gambling businesses and not only in the USA. If they want their people to stop gambling then they should target only these people not individuals and companies in other countries. I live in Australia and use US $$$$ in my Neteller account that I am unable to wire to my account because it is in US $$$$.
