Default Saints -3.5 looks too easy, talk me off please

in a change of pace i am going to defer to the LT Profits et al of SBR to talk me off this gm. i'm not doing as well in this yr's nfl 'offs as i did the past 2 yrs so i will ask you guys to talk me off

i believe that the saints D will have more answers for the vikings D than the other way around, so Saints -3.5 looks like a very nice play

what am i missing here? can the vikings D actually slow down the saints O? can the vikings O move the ball consistently on the saints D? last wk's saints demolition of arizona is stuck in my mind, help me get it out please

Dont do it. The vikes are the better team. The saints beat a tired team and that game was no indication. The books are begging for saints action. The saints wont run the ball against this defense. I might take the vikes for 2 dimes. If the saints win i see a fg win no more. Also the saints will have to use their te's to help block allen making their pass game less effective. The vikings have the better defense also. This should be a good game but 3.5 is no good.

That's because they're are a lot of dummies playing the Vikings simply because they feel as if the Vikings has Brett Favre and they feel as if the NFL wants that Manning and Brees matchup.

Me personally I'm looking at the fact of the Vikings are not a great road team and there secondary is not good. Even Cutler shredded them!

    Laker,

Sean Payton will have a great gameplan for this game , I'll take Sean Payton gameplan anyday over Childress!

Also people sleeps on the Saints D big time!!

This is the same D when healthy shut Arizona down to only 14 points!

Minny D gave up 30+ against the Cards! How will they hole up against the Saints Passing attack???

Zboiz your right on my friend on your statements here. I totally agree with you that Payton is way better than Childress is as a coach.

The best way to beat the Minnesota defense is to pass and it's always been that way for several years but you need a top notch QB that can drop back and throw 30 - 35 times and not fold under pressure and Brees can do it. I wouldn't be surprised if New Orleans comes out early and pound the ball. This is the same pass defense that made Jay Cutler and Matt Moore look like Peyton Manning. Bress is goning to carve this defense up. If Minny is smart they will run AP but something tells me Farve will try and stroke his ego and throw a few picks and hand the game to the Saints

I think this game comes down to the Vikes D line vs the Saint O line, if the saints can protect the front 4 of the vikes forcing them to have to blitz to get pressure then advantage saints. However if you look at what Dallas did to the saints when they played, they got the pressure from their front 4(Ware had 2 sacks and Spencer 1.5 in the game)that left more men in coverage and it hurt the saint attack.

I agree too early in the week to make a pick, but I think that Allen and Co. get to brees and disrupt the saint O.

You gave yourself the reason to not play it in your thread title. If it looks to easy then something is wrong.

If Saints -3.5 seems to easy for you, then you shouldn't be betting these games. Vikings got just as explosive of an offense as the Saints, maybe not the same quality of receivers but they still can put up plenty of points. The big difference is Bret Favre is the better QB, and the Vikings have the better defense which in my opinion says the Vikings are the better team. I say Vikings win straight up

Take the Saints and don't overthink yourself. No I will not talk you off of it.

Vikes +4.....you gotta take the points! Brees wont have the same amount of time in the pocket as last week and he wont be throwing against the cards 2nd string corners either. Game will be decided by defense and minn def has more playmakers.

Brees will carve that defense to pieces !!!!!!

I'd be more worried if the Saints can stop the Vikings.

Vikings at least have a defense, and can match up pretty well on the offensive side.

    Toss up.. good luck.

This game is pretty damn close.I agree though about waiting and taking more time.Saints at home are tough to go against. Then again that Vikes D looks very impressive.I agree also that the lines decide this outcome. This is a tough game to get a handle on.

Favre is the dude calling the plays. Childress calls what is in the gameplan and Favre changes it at the line of scrimmage. I didn't watch the whole dallas game because I fell asleep but during the few drives I watched, Favre changed the play at least half the time at the line of scrimmage. The coaches just run the defense.

This is a problem for too many people . . . playing a game just for the sake of doing it.
