Default Has anyone ever heard of a bookie going out of business

Anyone ever heard of such a thing???

The way things are going this year, I am sure there are a few bookies that have to be feeling the heat this NFL season.

Man...10-4 ATS on favorties and 11-3 SU....seems like a broken record week in week out. it may be time to just focus on NCAAB and the bowl games.

A few locals may go under, but I don't see any offshore books going. Most have poker rooms and casinos to keep the money flowing in.

I would feel sorry for the books for how things have gone this year, but it seems like week after week they haven't learned from their mistakes. I can't sympathize with stupidity.

They need to inflate the lines, so I can wager on foots again. Been focusing on Hoops and Pucks for awhile now.

in all the years of gambling, i've only seen 2 locals close up shop without getting busted. and, they closed up shop when the sharps hit'um hard week after week.
this was back in the very early 90's

One guy I knew got seriously f'd, owing out a MASSIVE amount of money to his clients. You could see it on his face at the poker table too, but never know what happened with that situation, and I don't think I want to know.

most bigger type locals will get more even action. due to the sharps basicly evening out the action. but, generaly the majority of there players are squares.

local's can definitely get hit hard...online books would obviously be a bit tougher, depending on their financial backing...

Lately almost all locals have lay off accounts in sportsbook in case they feel like they can't handle the action.
