Betchance
Somebody knows this book?
They have license in Malta, I had a very bad experience with Playbanks (with license in Malta also), I tried to contact with Lottery and Gaming from Malta ( www.lga.org.mt) but nobody answer.

I have heard of them, but never played with them. I believe they have been around since 2004. They do use the Proprietary software I think, but thats about all I really know about them really though.

Only good experiences here. Always had my winnings credited back to my CC in a normal time (1 or 2 days). They have a live-chat too.
And despite the Playbanks-issue, Maltese bookies are genrerally to be trusted for sure.
LGA are indeed hard to contact, if you ever need something from them, you should contact www.bookmakersreview.com and they will contact LGA on your behalf.

They fly under the Malta banner but its Russian money Russian folks behind it. Typical midsize joint, quick to flag, full juice, nothing special.
A Rec book for low rollers.

I'm not really worry for Betchance or Playbanks, my worries are for LGA...
If I have a problem with some of maltian bookmaker, I can contact to LGA and I "suppose" that they should answer me... But, at least my experience with Playbanks is LGA doesn't answer e-mails.
I sent more than ten e-mails to LGA, and I only received automatic responses that they are "investigating".
If this is the service can defend customers against scammers bookmakers, bad, very bad deal.

I opened an account with them recently, deposited through Moneybookers, placed a bet that won and then withdrew.
The money arrived in my Moneybookers account the next day.
So far so good I would say, I will use them again next time they have good odds on a game I want to bet on.
Oh yeah, I nearly forgot, I had deposited 100 Euro and wanted to place the bet and I got a message saying I couldn´t place it. I tried again a few times and it still wouldn´t let me, I then tried to place the bet for 50 Euro and that got accepted. I staked the other 50 Euro on that bet too and it also got accepted.
Must have been a fault in their software that I couldn´t immediately stake the whole 100 Euro.

I deposited with them again through Moneybookers because they had good odds on some soccer matches, this time both my stakes were accepted as a whole, unlike last time where I had to split them in two because they didn´t get accepted, I guess that must have been a glitch in their system then.
It did take a minute or so that the bets were being scanned before they were accepted.
It took quite a long time before the winning bets were settled, sometimes over 12 hours.
I made a withdrawal just now and if I get the money ok like I did last time I will certainly use them again if they keep having good odds.

They can take a days and days to settle when they get hit on a longshot, and have buried t&c's clauses allowing them to palp on a whim, seize and keep one's entire balance, or freeze one's funds for a two year period should decide to.
Have now been fobbed off for two days about a CL qualifier bet that won (Tallinn) and they have refused to settle it as 'their management has not made a decision as of yet about the match'
Am admittedly reticient to push the issue due to the aforementioned BS in their terms but considering calling it a day on this bunch once this settles.

Slow pay and/or processing issues are one thing, refusing to settle a winning line (for 3 days and counting now) is disgusting behavior IMO.
Anecdotally I've read that others are being told in livechat today that perhaps Monday their management will make a decision. They admit to being 'suspicious' about the match since a 4/1 longshot won.
Pointing out that Coral and BlueSq had the match at 5/1, or that others had it at 19/4 or 9/2, and all the others have settled, is of course irrelevant

If they have reason to believe that the game was fixed in any way then they won`t payout until they have looked into it.But if what you say that coral and blue square have settled then so should they.

I'll now be taking this up with the Maltese regulator, I dislike being accused of fraudulent activity - do they think somehow persons wagering on this match materially affected the outcome ?!?
They set the initial line, and actively maintained it cutting it at least twice including a few hours before the match
Quote:
Dear Client,
We would like to inform you that with regards to the match: FK Pobeda-FC
Levadia Tallinn which played on the 18th of July 2007 will be considered as
void.
Please note that herewith we are acting according to our own rules and
instead of just closing the accounts of all clients who bet on it and keep
the money on their account blocked, we are hereby putting the result as void
and giving the amount of the money clients played back. We took the best
decision for both the company and all the clients.
We are acting according to our rules on our website as declared hereunder:
The odds notified by BETCHANCE, with every means, are merely for reference.
The company reserves the right to change the odds and to correct eventual
mistakes or omissions. In particular in a case of obvious mistakes (owing
to, for ex., mistakes in the record of the odds transcription or inversion),
BETCHANCE reserves right to notify the costumers of the mistake and to
correct the odds even when the outcome is already known. If this should
happen it is the customers responsibility to request (before the start of
the intended event ) the cancellation or the replacement of the selection.
To avoid any possible misunderstanding the client is expected to request
confirmation of the unclear odds before he places his bets. In appreciation
of the inconvenience that these mistakes bring, BETCHANCE has put in place a
series of internal management procedures to minimize this type of mistakes.
However some sporting events evade precise analysis or evaluation for the
purposes of determining and codifying precise and unambiguous rules, through
a combination of circumstances, while apparently simple, are just beyond
reasoning.
The company reserves the right to investigate the game play and history of
any customers if there should come up justifiable doubts on the honesty of
his way of action. The company's fraud team will investigate accordingly and
suspend accounts if the activity on an account is identified as suspicious.
The account will remain closed and no withdrawals will be processed until
the investigation is complete and it has been decided how to proceed with
the relationship. Upon such time the customer will be informed by email
about the investigation and also of their result.
Betchance does not intend to initiate disputes with its members and instead
always seeks a solution which puts neither party at
a disadvantage but rather satisfies both parties.
Regards,
The Management
Betchance Limited

Shortly before that game the odds had changed completey - I think Tallinn (I guess you are speaking about the game against Pobeda) had about 2.80 decimal odds at the end. All books had odds of at least more than 5.00 at the beginning - they were completely wrong...

Concerning Betchance I think it is (as always) an alarming warning sign if a bookmaker starts to slow pay. Often such books will get even bigger problems in future, therefore better keep your balance low.

They've caved in and settled all wagers in full, apologizing for the misunderstanding
There was no misunderstanding until they caught flack from all of the others being palped, from another review site that expressed concern at their actions, and perhaps betbrain as well as it appears betbrain pulled their banners after others emailed them questioning why they affiliated themselves with such a top-notch outfit
Needless to say, I think I'm done with them.

Yep the Pobeda match. On the market on Betfair, Tallinn started at around 6.0, came in to 3.5 for a bit, finally bottomed out just a bit under even money, and then retraced all the way back up to 5.1 last as BF halted the market at kickoff.
We were joking elsewhere it smelled like " Fat Tony's 5* fix of the week "

BetChance (SBR rating D-) Update
The sportsbook has sent an email to players apologizing for "delayed payments and non availability of online chat during last few weeks" and states that a deal with new investors is in the works and should be finalized soon. Players hold out hope that the book will be able to regroup although long-time SBR readers realize that when a book admits it is looking to investors it is often too late to recover funds and may be a sign that the book is shifting blame to anonymous principals. Hundreds of BetChance complaints have flooded the SBR mailbox within the past two months. The most recent example of a book failing to obtain new investors is Premierbet (SBR rating D-) which is in no-pay mode and also leaving players fearing the worst. If BetChance is fortunate enough to receive new funding, players would be best served to continue to aggressively pursue their full balance.
