Lightbulb What Songs Will "The Who" Perform At Super Bowl Prop?

Jeff Haney's opinion on which songs "The Who" will play at halftime.

EARLY SUPER BOWL PROP WATCH: I suspect some offshore sports books will offer propositions tied to which songs The Who will perform at halftime of the Super Bowl. In handicapping those props, I'd consider placing extra weight on three songs: "Who Are You," "Won't Get Fooled Again," and "Baba O'Riley." The reason is that those three hits are the theme songs for the powerful and lucrative "CSI" franchise of TV shows for CBS -- the network that happens to be airing this year's Super Bowl.

They will absolutely play Baba O'Riley. I wonder how these props will be settled when they play a compilation of 6-7 of their hits...

Personally, I'd love to hear Behind Blue Eyes over all the other more iconic songs that are sure to be on the set list.

    "My Generation"

Of course, their generation was in the 60's!

I'm looking foward to seeing them but I don't see how a book could offer this prop. It will be rehearsed in front of people and it could get leaked out to the public.

The books would absolutely have to pay out on "portions" of a song -- because every Super Bowl-scale performance is too huge and brief to allow for full versions.

If they really offer odds on this, everyone should take their money! OBVIOUSLY they are gonna do portions of both Baba O'Riley and Won't Get Fooled Again. Nothing could be more obvious!!! I'd take those at up to -400.

I am pretty sure the books had this prop last year.

Everyone, use this thread to report immediately if you see this prop go up!

I've got accounts like everyplace from all our contests, so as soon as you see it and report it I will load that account up! If they're gonna put this stupid stuff up, let's take 'em for all their worth!!

'Who are you', and 'my generation' are virtual locks. This is not really a mainstream band, like the Stones, U2, or Prince. They're more on the fringes, so they have to play tunes that a mainstream audience will recognize. And they just don't have that many.

What about "Rough Boys"? Pete Townsend's favorite.

Did he end up having to register in Florida as a sex offender? I heard there were people pushing for it.

Hey, Pete Townsend has announced what they are playing!!!

    Check it out:

"We're kinda doing a mashup of stuff," the guitarist tells Billboard. "A bit of 'Baba O'Riley,' a bit of 'Pinball Wizard,' a bit of the close of 'Tommy,' a bit of 'Who Are You,' and a bit of 'Won't Get Fooled Again.' It works -- it's quite a saga. A lot of the stuff that we do has that kind of celebratory vibe about it -- we've always tried to make music that allows the audience to go a bit wild if they want to. Hopefully it will hit the spot."

Baba O'Riley is down to -139 at SIA!!! Although, strangely, their top five priciest picks are not the same as the ones he said. Might want to jump on this/these, Boys.
