Default What Poker Sites are you guys using now?

I know this is SB reviews, but a lot of you play poker also. I used pacific, party, and a few others before the USA mucked it up. Soo what do you guys use and why? Thanks!!!

I mainly play on the ipoker network ( Titan Poker, Noble Poker, Sportsinteraction Poker, Paddy Power, Betfred etc.)

Secondary poker sites I use are on the Prima Network now known as Microgaming (Stan James, Bet365, Intertops, Royal Vegas etc.)

On occasion I'll play at Party Poker, not often though.

I don't play that much anymore, the weather is too nice, once winter rolls around I'll probably get back into it a bit. I play only in tourneys, I find the cash games are garbage.

    Just PokerStars for me.

I can't give you much in the way of analysis. I'm not a big player.

I think when I decided to give on-line poker a try, PokerStars was a name I had heard here and there and gotten a good vibe about. I took about 3 minutes to confirm that they were an "A" rated, generally trusted site - then I did a deposit (through Neteller at the time).

The only other site I tried was WSEX. I tried it because I found that I always ended up with the same amount of money so I figured I was actually winning with my card-playing - but the rake was beating me. I heard WSEX has a no-rake game.

For some reason I didn't like WSEX. I'm trying to remember why. Just not as many games to choose from I guess.

I like PokerStars just fine. No complaints. Good variety of games.

Between the first 3 listed, i think the 'fairest' game is at bodog.
    I also play only tourneys.

The microgaming network is bullshit. Pokerstars even a bigger one.

Same here... how are they not on the list?

They SHOULD have more people playing there. Just don't understand why they don't.

I believe PokerStars has the most traffic still. One thing about PokerStars though, they don't offer rakeback. So I try to avoid that site, but Absolute, Full Tilt, and UltimateBet are three solid sites that offer rakeback.

From a Good Poker Player and Tilting Sports better that's in the US. Here are the top sites.

    1. Pokerstars, fewest payout problems and most traffic.
    2. Fulltilt, second most traffic
    3. Bodog, Best tournement site with a lot of value,(overlays)
    4. Absolute, big fall off from 3 but still would recommend.
    5. Ultimatebet, Has tumbled down the last three months, last resort. (I played this site exclusivly in December, 10-16 hours a day till I got mad then took a day off) Worst coustomer service.

Ive looked up WSEX, no rake poker is VERY interesting... But looking at the site, is the traffic low? Seems like a great poker player could smash sports bettors on poker.. I was making a killing at sportsbook.com poker when it first opened due to the high traffic of sports betters and not poker players.. but then there site went to hell and it sucks now..

Interesting if you can get sports bettors playing poker, you can eat em up....

pokerstars is going to have some sharks.. but the traffic will ensure the fish population from what Ive heard and assumed from the beginning..

    Thanks to all

How in the world does WPEX make money with no rake poker? Can somebody explain this to me?

They're a non-profit operating as a branch of PETA so they get donations all day long. The US Government hasn't found out yet so don't tell anybody.

They're hoping that by offering "no rake" poker, people who come to the site for poker will eventually branch over into their sportsbook and casino.

I play at party (I"m not american) since they take moneybookers which is what I use since the demise of neteller. I have rakeback at a few others like full tilt but getting money in and out is such a pain.

I agree, to a point. I play UB mainly because I like the software better than any of the others. It seems most responsive, fastest and doesn't crash on me. Plus, it's a pretty big site, so there's always a big variety of tables to choose from.

On the downside, I think UB has a lot of tough players. I've got to play a couple levels lower than I might on other sites. But, I don't play for income, but for entertainment. So it's just numbers.

So, overall, I'd recommend UB as a site to learn the ropes or get some good entertainment value. But if you want to win cash at the tables, there's certainly softer places to play.

I play like 40 hours a week, for me there are 3 sites i now play on.

    A) POKERSTARS
    b)FULLTILT
    C)MANSION

I used WSEX awhile back ,however although a great idea(RAKE BACK)diddn't seem to fill the tables. The fact that i couldnt play what i wanted when i wanted was enough for me to give them up.

Mansion i use a bit, for a while there, they had a 100$ tourney had a huge overlay still does, but many more players playing there, but still they have a traffic problem.

Fulltilt nice site to play on good action most of the time and decent tourneys, you can also get player information at most sources, always a good tool to have. certainly recomendable, use them bout 20% of my total online play.

pokerstars, the bad news they dish out some crazy beats,if your not emotionally able to deal with them, youmay find yourself going crazy, and blowing your roll. lots of very good players.

pokerstars the good news, in my opinion clearly the best choice out there.

Reason 1)there money is gold.I never heard of a payout problem not once, unless of course your zeejustin or jj pridigy who got caught trying to gaff the games.
Reason 2) TRAFFIC,all games all the time micro to big limits.fantastic action.
Reason 3)any knowledgable player knows they have the best tournaments online by a million miles.this past sunday they had over 10,000 players at there 215$ sunday event,if anything to much traffic.there nightly 150$ regularly gets 1000 players. there 10pm 10$rebuy gets 1500 players regularly,15k 1st prize good value, and there sit&gos real good, all stakes all games, filled quickly.complete acess to all sit&go player information at sharkcope &pokerdb, pokerprof etc, scope has a fish watch anytime a terrible player enters a sit&go you get the info, although if you see a fish in HU SIT&GO YOU MUST ACT QUICKLY, or he will be gone. plus there annual WCOOP,certainly the biggest and best tournament event online.

Reason 4)nice interface easy on the eyes, impotant when playing in long tournaments, very few disconects, nice features like transfering funds between players and looking for players you know, although most of the degenerates will hide.

Reason 5) good sats to wpt events wsop events ept events, and there own big events.

    Reason 6) good results.

    Default Pokerstar deposits and withdrawals

What do you guys use to deposit and withdraw from pokerstars?

Isnt cake poker and sportsbook.com poker the same, just skins of each other?

Do you think the bad beats on pokerstars are warranted? Are they due to the software or the players?

I used to think bodog gave bad beats galore....

I made a killing at sportsbook.com also!!! Deposited like $500 and removed about 15k..... But they are having major problems at the moment...

Im looking to mainly play cash games... 2-4 prob... do a lot of good players play that NL game at pokerstars?

  29. #29

Default thanks for all the replys.. Just one more piece of info
