    Default The greek-slow wire payout

I requested a wire 10 days ago on Sunday may 13. It was a large wire for over 30 dimes and I was supposed to get it in 2-5 business days (I know bank wires don't take long.) I recently switched from bodog to thegreek because I heard, and from my experience, the greek has fast payouts. However it has been 7 business days and counting and still no funds. thegreek is not responding to my emails either and their "risk management" team who is in charge never seems to be around or the manager is not available.
I trust that thegreek will be able to settle this issue promptly as I haven't had problems with them before.
    Thanks guys.

Sometimes these wires get lost or stuck in the banking system. I would follow up with Greek.

thanks jjgold. thegreek can track these wires so they can tell whether they get lost or stuck right?
They just told me over the phone that it might take a while to track???
I've tried following up as well.

I just had a much smaller withdrawal last week, and it arrived in 2 days via Fedex.

Still no payout. Yesterday they responded saying they will get in touch with the bank.

Oddly, that may be true. My partner and I have a development team in Russia and we wire them payment every month. One month the development team was saying they didn't get payment. Our bank was saying it was sent and the other bank was saying it wasn't received. It was a mess and it took weeks to figure out. You would think it would take 2 seconds for the banks to trace but that is not the case. I am not saying that this is what is happening with the Greek in this case but wire transfers can be ugly.

Why do these people who run into trouble always have less than 10 posts? I've been gambling for 3 years online and I am yet to have a single issue with any book, even through the turmoil. The only people to ever jerk me and snitch me out have been the fine !@#holes from Neteller.

Seems common sense to me to withdraw smaller amounts, at least keep it under 5 figures...

    Bodog Player,

The only thing you can do for now is to let them trace it. TheGreek has been one of the few that haven't had any severe setbacks due to processors and they should be able to follow up quickly.

You are welcome bp. Once it is traced it should only be another few days. Keep us posted.

Tracing a wire can take up to 30 days. ALl you can do is let the Greek trace it now.

I'd take -300 odds that it was blocked by your US bank rather than the Greek did not send it.

If you are routinely wiring $30,000 it would probably suit you well to move your banking to another country.

These things happen at times, but you don't have to worry about getting your money from olympic. I hope you get it soon.

    Bodog Player,

Have you bothered asking your bank what happened?

I would call them and tell them you were expecting an incoming wire and ask them WTF happened to it.

They may see something on their end that the outgoing bank can't.

    Let us know...

    Thanks guys.
Yes I asked my bank about it and they said they couldn't locate anything but most of these customer service agents are incompetent. They could be placing a "hold" on this incoming wire for a couple days.

    bodog player,

    Welcome to SBR!
I am the specialist of specialists when it gets to getting people to pay. The only thing you need to tell the Greek is that he needs to fax/scan the wire receipt to you.
$30k is big enough for them to give it some priority, so if that already takes more than 24 hours, then you know there is a problem on the Greek's side (roughly 80% chance). If they do provide it to you, then obviously you need to check first if the details on it are correct. If they are correct, then you will have to contact his bank and ask them for the correspondance bank that they used (very possible it got stuck there). Anyhow let me know how these first few steps will have gone, as most likely the Greek is giving you the run around!

I dont believe I have seen a payout complaint about the Greek in 10+years, but today in a day and age where US banks are blocking wires, is the special day when Spiro decided not to pay????

    Got paid just now.
Thanks for your help everyone. The greek is still an A sportsbook for promptly handling this matter.
