Anybody do this? It seems strange to just walk into a store, give them a control number and the name of some person in a foreign country and walk away with cash. Is it really that easy?

It's really that easy. The folks there couldn't give a damn less. You'll feel about as low class as it gets (I'm usually the only one in line with a collared shirt and who has bathed that week), but it's really that easy.
