Did they say they will draft him as a QB or as a RB? Big difference.

    From espn.com

Tebow will play quarterback for the South team, which will be coached by the Miami Dolphins' staff.

The Senior Bowl is closely scrutinized by personnel directors and coaches from all 32 NFL teams. Tebow has received a wide range of conflicting evaluations for his potential as an NFL quarterback. Even though many personnel men have told ESPN he will struggle in the league if he plays quarterback, at least a half-dozen general managers or coaches say he not only will be successful as a pro quarterback, but also is likely to be chosen in the first round.

Tebow wants to take a shot at QB, but he has said.....and he's the kinda guy that will do ANYTHING to help his team.....

    gm's love his intangibles....

draft for talent only.... you get guys like Leaf, Mandarich, lawrence phillips, Bosworth, Marinavich...

The only way he is getting drafted in first round is for another position. No one wants another Jamarcus Russell on their team.

    The guy is a winner.

Many people involved with college football, said he is the greatest leader they have seen.

I can't stand the guy, but some team will be able to use his skill set in the NFL.

again if you get drafted first round.... you get drafted...and you get first round $

Tebow has already said he'll play wherever

    what's the issue

There's a difference between him finding a way to contribute to an NFL team and him being drafted in the first round. Taking him that early is lunacy.

I think Jacksonville will take Tebow in the 2nd round. Notice those 6 gms that they think he will likely be taken in the 1st round, not that they would take him in the 1st round. He's a great athlete and a great kid, but not a starting NFL qb. Seems like the type of person you want on your team and he will work hard and just might make it. Otherwise he's someone that should go in the 3rd round, but he won't get past Jacksonville in the 2nd just to sell some tickets.

Good point. Six GM's could all believe that JAX will take him in the 1st round.

what nobody is seeing is that on a 53 man roster he would be very valuable. He could play H back, FB, RB, TE, and back up QB as wellas being a "locker room" guy

Not to mention the revenue he would bring in from jersey/apparel sales...

don't forget special teams..... ultimately I've been saying for over a year. Tebow would make a great TE in the NFL in 2 years...... He'll be a fierce blocker, once he learns all the footwork and schemes. and his hands will catch a td or two. Give him 2 years of eating and lifting and he'll be a monster

Great TE prospect plus ability for wildcat that doesn't just run, interesting combination to me-but then again, I am a Gator fan.

Take that for a grain of salt... especially from GMs who are notorious for lying to mislead other teams. When was the last time you had seen a 3rd or 4th round prospect drafted in first round? They all do that before draft day to give out misleading info to their competitors. It's a dirty business and understandingly so.

I don't think Tebow in the first round would be mistake by any team. I feel like everyone should want a player with an unique set of skills that can be used effectively at several different positions. And then there's his intangibles!

I agree with this. However you don't spend a first round pick on a guy that could be a potential TE which might be his best fit in the NFL or a backup qb. 3rd round yes, but not 1st.
