Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Pete Carroll has reached an agreement to become the next head coach of the Seahawks.
One NFL source calls the agreement "100 percent done." The only hangup for Seattle is that they need to interview a minority candidate to comply with the Rooney Rule before they announce the deal. Vikings DC Leslie Frazier has agreed to interview on Saturday but only if he feels that the Seahawks haven't promised the job to Carroll already. Carroll to Seattle seems like a done deal.

So you are going to have to waste that man's time now because you absolutely have to interview a minority candidate? I like Leslie Frazier, but he has no chance to get this job. If teams know who they want, and Seattle does, they shouldn't have to be hung up wasting both parties time.

I'd be offended if I were Frazier or Ron Rivera (the latest token minority to possibly have to go through the dog and pony show). These guys are legitimate NFL coaches and this procedure, while intended to benefit them, essentially undermines their abilities.
