Can Jazz win this series?
I do not think so even though they are underrated. I took Spurs today -6 1/2.

No.
The Jazz have a nice team. I was all on them even down 2-0 to Houston. Excellent coaching and excellent at home. To me this is one of those series where the favorite could get lazy and drop a couple of away games. Still, Spurs in an easy win even if it goes 6.

The Jazz will win this series in 6 games, starting with an outright win this afternoon.

The Jazz are the better team. I don't know if they'll win the series, but they are the better team. I wasn't sure about that before today, but now I am. Everything has gone against them today, and they are still right there in it.

Good job on cashing with the Spurs today JJ.

I'm a little surprized at the Utah faithful. The only question is will SA start looking past the Jazz. Utah could win a game if that happens. Otherwise, this is just a warm up for the Pistons.

Man the Spurs homers are comical. Utah dominated the glass, showed their inexperience in the first half, didn't get any calls, watched the Spurs make every jumper the first three quarters, and still had a slight chance down the stretch.
The Spurs have no answer for Williams, and the Jazz tore the vaunted Spurs defense to shreds. They have a big quickness advantage, and exploited the Spurs defense in the second half on the pick n' roll and with their other offensive sets. They continue to get layups, and the chances of them losing a home game is infinitesimal. They'll find a road win, and still win this series.

I just bet Utah for the series for a nickel, this looks too easy.

LOL. The NBA All-Star voting is about the worst possible evidence you could possibly give. Shaq played about 5 games in the first half of the season and made the All-Star team. Anyone who knows basketball will tell you the Jazz have the much better PG in this series. Williams is just entering his prime, and he will be a top-3 MVP candidate in the coming years. He put up better offensive numbers than Parker this year and is a much, much better defender.

Spurs played perfect and only won by 8 at home, that is not something I would brag about, Utah played real bad also.

Razz, you still think the Jazz are the best team in the playoffs?
Just Razzin' ya bud.![]()

Yes, Spurs just too experienced to lose at home unless the officials call a fair game, which they obviously refuse to do. I still don't think SA can win in Utah, hell, they never have in the playoffs. Jazz probably a year away from winning it all though. Williams/Boozer best tandem in the league next year unless KG goes to Phoenix.

I was wrong on this one, Utah comes home I still think they can win 2. Lets see what happens.

Utah is coached by the Marty Schottenheimer of the NBA.
It's easy to fall in love with the way they play basketball until it comes time to win big games. They make the Spurs (oldest team in the league) look like a bunch of track stars. Their defensive approach is to hack a team into submission and the Spurs LOVE to play in games like that.

Sloan has never won big games that is true.

Bad comparison. Schottenheimer never had any postseason success. Sloan has won several postseason series, got to the Finals twice, and would have a championship if not for his best teams running into MJ.

I still think Utah will be fine at home. BTW, the refs have been doing their best to keep the Spurs opponets in the game since the Denver series imo. SA plays good playoff defense and are being rewarded by letting the other team shoot free throws all night. Luckily, Detroit is not a ref favorite either.
